Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster.
I don't know if this counts as a proper custom, (and if it gets taken down, then I have my answer), but I quite enjoyed stripping and repainting my Nano Metalfigs Cobra Commander. Was originally gonna do the base with a gradient to green cobblestone pattern in homage to the castle floor in The Phantom Brigade, but then realized it would look stupid without cooresponding object source lighting on the Commander himself... then realized I really needed to repaint the base from scratch... then just couldn't be arsed to work on it anymore. These dudes actually have a surprising amount of detail on the sculpt once you get past that obscenely thick (hotwheels-worthy) enamel paint. Soak 'em overnight in fingernail polish remover and give them a scrub does the trick. |

Of course its a custom Fred, nice one man, great paint job, never had any of them metal miniatures myself, I used to be big into Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 etc, know how tricky something this small is to paint and welcome to the party man! ;P

Ooh, I just passed on these at the store because they didn’t look “metal” enough, seemed more like plastic. But with that paint job I would not have passed! Great job on him! Love how this turned out, thanks for sharing!
