This is an absolute masterpiece. Great detail. You even made the keel. And the interior decks--amazing! I can only imagine what this beauty must weigh?

Looks so awesome all painted up! Did you ever do the working torpedo launcher idea you mentioned?

Thanks for all of this great info: This place is full of talent that I don't have customizing figures. What did Oreobuilder make? The figures or the Flagg. Love to see the work. To be really honest I have no idea how to build figures. I am so confused when someone tries to explain how I can just order this here and that goes there.... Wish I had a 10th of the ability as most of you. .. but I'm learning ;)
Please Let me know if you want more pics of the Flagg. I never realized how much play value went into the design. Ten kids could be playing on this at a time each with something to do with the ship. I think we should all be 10 again at least 20 mins a day! Yo Joe! |

It can't be more than 25lbs. It still comes apart. Flight deck, tower, below deck. The wood is pine and it is very light. It didn't looks so big in the garage when I built it but when I brought it in it took up a whole room of my house. But I'm not complaining.

I experimented with air power but was unable to move the heavy wooden projectiles and need separate reservoirs of compressed air for each torpedo. I could hollow out them to make them lighter and have the room for hose and such. I haven't given up on that idea and also thought about maybe spring loaded for a launcher. Shouldn't have got your hopes up until I had the science down. I get excited with ideas and blurt out some crazy stuff. I need my engineering team to make it work. I was like that when i designed custom playground too. They said to me. Thats impossible..then the next day they said. Well. Maybe ... then how about... eventually it always worked. Yo Joe |

I'm thinking of a really cool torpedo launcher on the side deck. Started design today. Carved the topedoes and researching a pneumatic launcher.... I think I need professional help now. On the real ship they are on the side decks and it fits there great for this one too. They will launch like a blow gun. Told myself i wasn't going to put lights and sound on this one so i hope i can resist. I built a few boy scouts pinewood derby cars with recorded sounds and lights. They had to be small and light weight. I'm out of picture space....people ??? Rear of the ship is almost done.
