I got lucky on that one as the Acid Rain head uses a bigger neck ball, but that body has a different neck than most JoyToy with a bigger neck ball.
So he ended up being basically a head swap. I know next to nothing about Acid Rain. I bought the head loose for about $3. The figures and sets are too rich for my blood to hack them up into customs. Thanks, I'll be posting some Kit Bashed "Valkyries" soon. I don't have a name chosen yet so I'm borrowing Marauder's name as a place holder. They all use the same basic female body like the one you can see below. Thanks, I'm just working with what I can acquire over here. If I was stateside right now I'd probably be working with marauders. As everyone on here probably knows by now, the Joytoy are a great base and their gear is great for all 1:18. But some of the stuff I got recently screamed Dreadnoks. So I'm just working with what they're releasing. They're supposed to release this figure sometime this year and I've already decided to use at least the head for a Zarana update. |

Here's the other one just revealed... I'm going to get it as well, but mostly for the AK, Shotgun, and head/hair.

Ahh excuse me sir. I started painting figures in 1992, I was hoping you could give me credit, pretty sure I was the first person to use a paintbrush in making new figures "Customs" as the kids call it.
As well any royalty checks I should get a share off. I magically had this idea first. Was that guy serious? Fly by night customizers? Is this guy ribbing us. HOLY SHIT fucking delusional, like he was the first person to think of modifying a hand to have a middle finger....HOLY SHIT. Last edited by whitewolf0079; 03-10-2021 at 10:32 AM.. |

I painted up some figures in 1983, so well heck I should get credit for that. Lord they looked horrible for me as a 12 year old doing them.

Awesome customs sir! I’m slowly getting into Joytoy and the accessories / gear are just fantastic!

Summer break, so I finally got around to working on some figures...
Zarana is made from a Hiya Harley Quinn torso and misc. JoyToy parts. Took some modding to get the torso to work but not too much. Skin tones match up well to the eye, but it looks off on the camera sometimes. This is because the torso is painted and the Joytoy parts are flesh tone plastic. I'll probably switch her legs if a better option becomes available.

You've got some great work here!
This is the first time I've really looked at the JoyToy figures, especially the female ones. Those are great bases for customs. The updates to the characters push the limits of recognizability, but don't cross the line. Great designs! The original characters are good, too. |
