Right now it also seems difficult to find Retro Roadblock out in the wild, but maybe it's still early and in a few weeks he'll be pegwarming--in which case one should get him for the card, weapons, and "footstand" (and the close colored hands). |

I totally get not wanting to paint hands.
Your Roadblock is the envy of all (except HHFF who has such a RB covered already). I’ve been thinking about a way to lengthen that 25th web-gear (along with everyone else). If my experiment works I’ll be sharing it. Still waiting on a retro RB myself. I also love the chef photo. Too good! Last edited by ARBCO Avenue; 12-02-2020 at 02:03 AM.. |

If you are using a similar technique you presented in your WIP thread for the 6" Classified RB, we are in for a treat. We also need to get a workable webgear to a caster like AVACSLAB, Raginspoon, or paraviper. But 46Zone's double belt idea seems easiest for universal use
By the way, can someone measure the width of the 25th RB straps just above the belt for me? |

THIS is the Roadblock we should be getting. Great work. The color of the pants is spot on. What color paint did you use? Thanks.

1. The ammo output from the backpack is on the lower right side of the figure. In this position, none of the ammo belts can reach the gun. Even the longer one that came with Gung-Ho. When you change the gun so he's firing with his left hand, it places the ammo input of the gun facing away from the figure. Everytime I try to put in the belt, there is just too much tension and the belt will not stay in. 2. The belt width of the Retro figure is too wide to fit in that backpack slot. You have to cut a bullet by a 1/3. When you do that, there is less friction in the slot, and the belt will not stay in. I've resolved to going with the backpack in my initial pics.

So I tried the ROC HD back pack, and I can't get it to work:
You do need the longer ammo belt. It also helps to get a nice hard bend down on each end of the belt. Further, you can heat up the belt, gets the major bends, twists and turns where you need them, then let naturally or hit it with canned air. The bend downs also help to make it look like it has some weight. The Gung-Ho ammo belt shouldn't be too wide on the ends. The 50th Gung-Ho has the same backpack (with shoulder straps instead of back peg), and the end shells are a little shorter than the rest. If it is too wide, just cut down the 2 shells at the end. If its long by 1/3 then only cut 1/4 and jam it in there. Cut to fit by trial and error, and always error on being long. You can also thicken with clear nail polish if too narrow or thin. Hope this helps if you ever want to give it another shot. |
