These are all kitbashed and hand painted pieces of work I recently completed. These customs are not meant to be offensive, just need fodder for my coalition forces to riddle full of holes. So who better? The hooded character is based on Jihadi John. I plan to make a couple more insurgents to go along with these guys. Their garb is based on the well equipped ISIS insurgents during the Syrian conflict.

Nice work! And I don’t think the figures are offensive, as they represent a real world threat to freedom in the form of ISIS, which murders people who won’t convert to their ideology. If that isn’t what Cobra (in fictional storytelling) is about I don’t know what is...

People gave you flak for making a figure? Kind of lame. I think are cool and was trying to figure out a way to do them myself but these might take the cake.

Thanks, Todd. I've posted them in other places and got a lot of flak for making them. But the thing of it is that there aren't a lot of hostile/enemy figures in 1:18 scale. The ones that exist are from 21st Century and sell for over $70/figure. So I went with option #2 - kitbash each figure for roughly $30 a piece.

Excellent jihadists customs!! I would never spend $70 (option 1) since the ones you have here look way better and meaner obviously considering people have given you flak for these??
I agree that we need more 4" figures representing the enemy and I challenge those who had something to say in response to your customs to come up with something more accurate...or even come up with anything at all...I never thought symbolisms/politics live through toy customs now??? Great job man! |
