Spirit is probably my oldest custom as he has been in this form (minus the recent addition of his bone necklace) since Renegades Tunnel Rat came out in 2011. I kept the original 25th legs on an earlier version with a customized belt and cloth covering, but I saw someone somewhere that used the ROC Zartan hood and different person use these legs. I set out to improve my old Spirit. I went looking to find the customizers who inspired the legs and waist solution, but no luck. The arms are glued on at the mid-biceps and neck required no paint... The rest of these, with the exception of my Rock'n Roll/Kraken custom are just LBC/Kitbashes: Super LBC Airborne - carefully removed the tattoo from the Jurassic Joe. The neck paint matches the head. Not that it matters with the neck covering. I use a JoyToy helmet head as an alternate. I know its just a Steel Brigade but Steel Brigade borrowed heavily from Airborne. The Shirt color works as a callback to his blue-teal vest. Only other thing is added knife sheath on vest. Long-Range (Native Central and South American ancestry) - I use 50th Spirit as the Long-Range inspired by the Sigma Six version. I imagine him as a 'spiritual' successor to...err, well, Spirit. There was a lot of work that's not obvious. I shortened his neck and then shortened his hair so he could move his head. The waist cloth is adapted from Enfys Nest. His canteen is from Kwinn with added strap. I don't know where the machete comes from. I gave him a falcon and named it Resolute as my Long-Range looks like a Resolute Spirit. Kwinn Lives! (Inuit) - I don't know if I'm gonna use this or change him up. The only thing 'custom' here is his use of Dusty's knees. The vest is JoyToy, Neck covering is cut from a Star Wars cloak, and the Goggles are cut from 25th Mutt's helmet. I just think the combo looks cool. Kraken (Pacific Islander) - seen above can be found here if your interested: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ck-n-roll.html I might add one more to this squad using Renegades Tunnel Rat's head as a starting point... we'll see if it works out.

Very cool. Nice to see some interesting squads. The question now is, what kind of mission would they handle?
Also, how does one shorten a neck. The only technique I know if is to drill into the head, which can lead to disaster. Do you have a better method? |

With the 50th Spirit the neck is actually held in by the neck covering so it was easily removed by popping the torso. But I still had to do a lot of cutting to get it right. It was just easier than having to cut it from the torso.

So many of these figures are just one minor alteration or accessory addition that makes it a WHOLE NEW FIGURE! I love it! That's some design genius right there...
