I 100% agree, Range Vipers were awesome! Loved them the second I saw them and thought it was so cool that you got to battle one in the NES game.
Now.....wow, way to push him from a part of the Cobra army to a one man war machine! I didn’t think anyone would have gear that rivaled Firefly but then here comes Range Viper ready for every situation! As always, so many cool touches that give him your distinct look. Stand out for me here is the head & helmet combo. Just such a cool idea and you executed it perfectly! Always enjoy seeing where you’re gonna take a guy and this one definitely did not disappoint.

I wouldn't wanna see one of these guys walking towards me in the woods. Footloose is toast.
Really nice take, and I like how it's sort of a mesh of the BAT and Range Viper, sort of like your Techno-Alley Viper from a while ago. The heavy armor also just looks killer on this guy! |

Pretty damn fuckin’ good! He is menacing and definitely fits the bill of a Range Viper. Solid work on this one!

One bad ass looking Range Viper! It's impressive how much work you put into all of your customs, and this one's clearly no exception.

Thanks man! This isn’t a joy toy figure. Only thing joy toy are a few accessories. This was a lot of build work. I do agree though, joy toy are cool. Quote:

We got dude , who cobra loves Becuase the low cost and high skill these guys have, who Cobra sends out to just War. They get no food or extra ammo. They have to survive on the battlefield. Eating what they can and picking up ammo off of dead Joes. Soulless. Robots in a sense. So I brought that view to life . Baggy clothes, crazy pockets, a worn look. A warfighter demon. But calculated. Beret to give them a squad appearance. Robot head because they are a little augmented a little human but a soldier toy don’t want to duck with. Thanks for the kind words my brother. Quote:
You keep raising the bar higher and higher. Never really got into the Range Vipers because that was when I was growing out of Joes. But when I first learned about the Range Vipers, man I wish I didn't miss that time of Joe.
Awesome job Slice. Love his tablet on his wrist. Love the more haunting skeleton look. You made this guy feared and badass. Thanks my guy! Like I was telling Ax, the concept behind a range viper is such a cool and unique idea. Putting him together , watching him gain life while I built him was the most satisfying part. It’s extremely difficult to: Take an old figure who people love and don’t want changed. Break it down through comics, file cards, and start new Rebuild with realism homage , updates and creativity Bring your imagination to life. Find every part and set every piece of gear exactly As you envisioned. And finally breathe life into it. I suppose how I set the bar is my love for Gi joe , and my vision on the direction of the custom I’m making . I always appreciate you stopping by man. And thank you fortnite kind words. Quote:
Yowsers! Another unique take on an established character (or in this case, trooper). The parts are meshed so well, it's hard to tell what came from where. The torso is from Angel Forge, as it has DNA from that site all over it. The arms... MTF Brit, as best I can guess. The legs... either the MTF Brit or the German Panzer Grenadier I am guessing. They are similar molds, if not the same, for the lower legs, and you've covered the thighs with enough goodies to make them difficult to identify. In addition, a lot of JoyToy, MTF and Joe items that I recognize in there, but there are a lot I cannot identify. Once again you've done a spectacular job of making this character/figure your own, so no one will accuse you of copying their design. Kudos on your originality, which keeps me coming back to see what you've done.
-Todd Shakka85 I’m probably the only custom maker who wont put my recipes out. 2 reasons. 1.Hard work goes into my stuff. You don’t get a free pass at trying to recreate it. ( plus I build sheer complexity so if they even try anyone would know instantly where they stole the ideas from) I see a lot of customizers hardwork who put the build out there and guys simply come in the thread do a parts check for self gain , don’t give respect and are on their merry way. Fuck that. 2. I want you to think when you come to check my customs. Like you do Todd. You go from top to bottom checking it all out. I truly appreciate that . Becuase you not only and going through my work, as you do it, you see the what all goes into my customs. Thank you for appreciating my work man! Always admire your views and knowledge in customs . Thank you kindly gentlemen! And thank you for stopping by!

Great new take on the RV!
With the helmet on he kinda looks like a combination of Alley Viper and Range Viper. Which is a good thing IMO, both are among my favorite figures. |

One of my favorite things on Range is his eyes. I painted them to look like they were glowing. Alley viper is a top 5 er for me . Really love that figure. I’m pondering on a modern era take on the Alley Viper.
