"G.I.Joe rumbles into urban conflict zones with the Battle Wagon, to take on the Cobra City Strike Force. The Battle Wagon was developed as G.I.Joe's answer to the Cobra Ringneck, but ended up far larger and more powerful. It has a crew of two, and can carry half a dozen dismounts in the rear who can exit at the back or alternatively onto the roof, and from there onto a Tactical Elevating Platform that can reach roofs and windows for access to buildings from above, or simple act as a firing platform. It has a powerful towhook in front, and is armed with side-mounted heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, and a pair of 20mm autocannons."

I decided the signature 8 barreled "missile launcher" was a bit too much, but I wanted to replace it with something more interesting than just a different big weapon. With its gray and blue colors, the Battle Wagon seemed to me like an urban combat vehicle, and with that in mind, I decided to build on its existing height and give it an elevating fighting platform. No motors on this one, but it does have working suspension on all four wheels and front steering. The whole thing is remarkably stable with a surprisingly low center of gravity. The Battle Wagon gave me a chance to build in an older discontinued shade of gray and regular classic Lego blue, neither of which I work with very often. |

That’s awesome! Always loved the Battle Wagon growing up, really inventive build here. Love how that blue pops and cool idea to switch out it’s main weapon.
