to me this is how i would have liked it to be done. traditional colors but in an updated way.

Great job. The simplifying of the colors (especially on the boots) makes a much more cohesive color scheme.

thanks everyone! i got two of these and when they are side by side its night and day.
i love how this turned out. i had a patch done on the leg as a test shot in very dark gray and it just didnt feel right. i used some black automotive paint with a suuuuper small amount of metallic in it. i wanted it to look like a leather suit and you know how leather has that tiny bit of shine to it, thats what i got here but i guess you really have to see it in person to tell. i know hasbro wants to update their figures, and thats fine. i dont mind this modern armor (except the arms dont go up high enough for me when lift up at the sides) but keep it true to the character and use "her" colors. i am getting two of each character, one to keep and one to paint. so eventually they all will get this treatment, except for the exclusive snake eyes. |
