Ouch, that one accross his face looks like it would've hurt a bit! Great job on the battle damage and the dirty wash. It must have been one heck of a battle, surprised he made it out alive with that kind of damage but it just goes to show you that the Crimson Guard are the toughest Cobra's there are!
I use a very small diameter drill bit and carefully drill small shallow holes in the figure. Then with a fine tip detail paint brush, paint the inside of the hole whatever color(I use flat black for armor, red for flesh wound, etc.) and then you can use the fine detail brush and take another color(like silver for armor or whatever color shirt he's wearing) and make the "ripped" or "torn" effect like the bullet(s) tore through the armor or through the shirt, maybe with the shirt you could add some flesh color to simulate skin too.
