The best Adventure People seem to come in pairs, and in this case our pal Barney is nothing without his best buddy, Frank!
Here's a closer look at that caster head, and some of the shading effects I was trying to pull off with the face. For the Adventure People customs, I generally prefer to keep the colors flat and as close to identical to the original Fisher Price figures as possible, but I can't have the faces looking too flat--especially this one! The biggest flaw with this sculpt is that the face is flat in general. I think it looks pretty good, especially considering that this was like 20 customs ago for me now... Perhaps you can see what I mean about the flat face? Also, apologies that the photo is a bit fuzzy. I've gotten (marginally) better at lighting and photography since November, too... Lastly, let's take a look at that sweet comparison shot with the original Fisher Price figure! FRANK RECIPE Head: Caster (AngleForge?) Thanks! Looking back on them I see all kinds of things I'd probably do differently today, but part of the fun here with the Adventure People builds is to keep them simple like the original figures.

Adventure People were my first action figures as well and I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them. Using the Storm Shadow body was brilliant. These are excellent updates!
