This really is just a bunch of LBCs. Half of them are head swaps with some modded gear, but I like how they all work well together.
So a little bit about how these guys fit into my Joe-verse. They are the step between faceless fill-in-the-blank Vipers and the upper echelon of Cobra's operatives. They are a part of Obsidian Ops. The premier operatives for hire from the premier Private Military: Phoenix Guard (based in Phoenix Az). It is of course owned by the shell corporation for Cobra: E3 Ent. (pronounced E-Cubus Enterprises) or Extensive, Exclusive, Executive Enterprises. Phoenix Guard's sole supplier is Military Armaments and Reconnaissance Systems Incorporated or M.A.R.S. Inc. Obsidian primarily serves as "Asset Reacquisition Specialists." Fancy words for rescuing business big wigs or their kids when they are kidnapped, returning stolen intellectual property be it theft or rogue employee, etc. They've even been hired for the occasional off the books act of sabotage. The Phoenix Guard quickly filled up their resume with missions to fix problems started by undercover Cobra operatives, thus making Cobra "the Arsonist and the Fire Fighter." Their obvious success rate drew the attention of the Pentagon where higher ups started using them in the field along side Tier 1 Operators. So they have been on missions with some of the Delta Operators who went on to join the G.I.J.O.E. or Global Intervention Joint Operations Entity. From left to right: Tracer, High-Roller, Renegade, Vanguard, and Fumbles Eventually Cobra comes out of the shadows and these operatives go by their Cobra Code Names: Overkill, Dice, Mercer, Tombstone, and Blackout They are all Dollar General Cobra troopers, with JoyToy Delta Vests, and helmet heads except Tracer whose is made up of the best pieces from the 5 Delta figures. Fumbles/Blackout did swap legs with Snake Eyes, because I didn't like the glossy boots. Maybe the boots had something to do with a certain slip-up? The Delta figures are good but I bought them for their gear, and they don't look as good without their gear. So I got 4 headless bodies I probably won't use. All I did to these were the swap heads and fit the tac-vests by shortening the bottom. For "off-the-books" missions where results are all that matter, Obsidian Ops can call in specialized operatives. These operators are extremely effective when given total leeway to accomplish all mission objectives. The first three of these operatives are: Mayday, Rasp, and Darklon: Rasp is surrounded by a tornado of legend, rumor, and mystery. Is he really an ex-Seal commander? Is he one of a handful of Cobra's founding members? Why does his voice sound like two giant snakes fighting it out in his throat? No one knows... What is known is that he is a ruthless tactical genius. Just a Ret. Cobra Com. head and POC Shock Trooper vest on another DG Trooper. I shaved the cobra head off his helmet. It's not perfect, but it's "battle damaged" The other 2 are http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...tesdragon.html and http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...tesdragon.html
