Again, great work!

Spirit Iron Knife
Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ron-knife.html Mercenary Wolf Firefly Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...f-firefly.html Every household with GI Joes had ole Roadblock in their line up. How couldn?€™t you not? He literally is part of GIJoe and the history of it. In my book, 1986 v2 Roadblock was the best version we got of him. Even though he came with one weapon he looked badass. Throughout the years, I?€™ve seen a few versions trying to capture that 1986 look but for me, it was always missed marks. I want to challenge myself in not getting to much into a new era version, but rather a very detailed nostalgic piece where are the right ingredients paid homage to this beloved character. I started with his head. Handpainted to match my darker skin tones, adding a matte black to his beard. I then went for his build and equipment. Believe it or not, everything came together with him very easily. The. Only thing I changed from his OG version was that bright lime shade of green to a military green on this current one. I absolutely love how he turned out and feel like this is one we should get in the near future: Here is v2 Roadblock! Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr ?€œLet?€™s Build it Together?€? My motto. I?€™m very passionate about GIJoe. I love to create, expand our universe , and create new variations. I?€™m also appreciative to not only share , but build figures for people. For this one the customer had 2 request: nods to the original and simplified. Ok. let?€™s do this. Track viper has very little concept art. And 1 figure . That?€™s it. So this one was combined with all the above stated with a dash of imagination to bring current while respecting the customers wishes of his request. Completely hand painted, heavy dremel , clay, carving, painting, modding, part changes and blending , Here is a New Era take on a classic figure.... Track Viper Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr I haven?€™t done a Slaughter?€™s Marauder figure yet so I thought I?€™d be cool to start with a unique one first. I picked Mercer Becuase he has a wild look, kinda Dreadnok/ Cobra/ Merc and badass story; The only Cobra to switch sides and live. He?€™s fairly simple build even back in the 80?€™s but to me, he always had a cool factor . This one was built from the ground up, as well as completely hand painted from top to botto , not much ?€œgear?€? just pure fun and nostalgia. Real wrist wrap instead of glove. Real braclet. Real sawedoff shotgun grip tape I also thought it?€™s be cool to knife scar carve over the Cobra symbol. I threw in a few extra pics of some of the customs I?€™ve done as well: Here is Mercer the start of my Slaughters Marauders: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr Built to customer specs: All of the scrap irons since the classic ARAH have missed their mark. Especially the modern era version with those skinny legs . I will say, Hasbro nailed his head cast in the updated version and that was the price I used. I repainted his skin darker, and added some real nasty gashes to honor his name. I also added a blown off hand using ?€œscrap?€? metal for a new prosthetic. Other than that, I kept him true to form as a Retro updated version. I wanted him to have ?€œScrap looking parts?€? since he is cobra tester of weapons . like Test 99 version of an unmanned computer driven tank. All hand painted and kinda just built from imagination. His middle launcher was hand painted and added a real fuse to give it a scrap look. Here is Retro Scrap Iron: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr This was built to customer specs. He wanted a direct version from the 1984 series 3 version 1 of Zartan with an updated swamp skier. And I was honored to bring it to life as Zartan is definitely one of my favorite bad guys. So I started with Zartans Head first. All completely hand painted . Once I got his head exactly how I envisioned, I built his body and painted it to exact specs of the OG version. Then began the Swamp Skier build. This was kinda my first ?€œvehicle?€? custom so I just did a lot of trial and error , and how so much fun with it. Broke it down to bare bones , painted and rebuilt it back to my -and the customers specs I thought it?€™d be cool to add shocks to the rear, add a real cloth seat, and a pack to carry in the back country. Here is a no frills, direct Retro designed Zartan: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr Beachhead is up there with Snake Eyes as a favorite Joe of mine. When I started looking through his versions, I realized most all of them are direct builds of the OG 1986 version. Why not change that? Let?€™s expand our universe. Beachhead rolling with Night Force sounded like a missing link to me. In my opinion , Beachhead should have been on the top 3 candidates for a good Night Force variant back in the day. I first found a date. 2067. I then imagined what would make him a serious threat to Cobra ? I thought about my TARGATS, Night Creepers , Range Vipers I built, and knew I had to make Beach bad ass enough to widthstand all of that, but also make him appear a solider fighting a war that?€™s multi loss and up a steep hill. Meaning Serious. My ideas went : Blackmulticam Camo pattern 2 main colors. Custom bodied AK 47 Custom nodded Socom 2 blades Grenadess Holstered m203 grenade Launcher. I created 2 seperate heads for a reason. One custom for more adult looking hardcore style, all completely handpainted And one more kid friendly stock Hasbro head with a paint job. Here is my version of BeachHead : Night-Force Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr The original. Very first Joe there was. How the fuck do you pay homage to the original? Cant overdo a Joe like Joe Colton with a bunch of nonsense. This was the man who created it all . In my Joe verse, I see him as hardend. Cold. Battle driven. Looking for the right Joe recruits and screw the rest. No time for soldiers who can’t cut it in the GIJoe training methods. This is the man who built Joes fight force so I had to venture careful in bringing an old warfighter like Joe into the modern era. All completed handpainted. Face was touched using matte. I gave him a steel brigade helmet for a few reasons: A.He would be right beside grunts like steel brigades leading then into combat B. He found Joes, thus the Steel Brigade unit. Here is the OG: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr A Scottish warlord with a sense of honor on the battlefield is something we’ve always wanted. General Destro, warlord of Weapons is figure who we’ve only imagined because no Figure ever put out has really lived up to the Destro Name. Now with that said, Plenty of Destro figures have lived up to the weapons Supplier name. In This version , I wanted to give us The Scottish General who carries his honor on the battlefield , with his ancestors armor, Scottish sgian-dubh, giving him a meancing “your fucked” if you see me in battle look. Blending modern tech and traditional is no easy task, the easiest part being you can overdo it and ruin the Character. I was very Careful to lessen the equipment to give him more personality in what Destro Should look like. Real necklace Material Real string for detached dishonored hands Real armor strap Real string on sgian-dubh Here is General Destro: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr Not sure what made me get into this character. He was one of the last figures I was interested in back when it was going south with GIJoe. I guess maybe his role; he’s the leader of the notorious Night Creepers, his outfit was bright but sick, something about Night creeper Leader appealed me. So I wanted to bring him current. Pay Homages where needed. Create a classic for us. As appreciative as I was that We got one is series 3.0 FSS , he was lacking man. So with all that said, I think I got one that’s current for us: All hand painted. Molded sheaths Real lanyards Paired us with an older model Night Creeper for good measure, Here he is: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr This is a character that should be in everyone’s favorites. Everything about him screams badass, and in my Joe World Shockwave was the guy going to war on the front lines with the legendary Alley Vipers. Think about that. The first guy in a breached room and he is going toe to toe with some of the baddest cobras . To honor this legend , I didn’t veer off the path to much and found to keep him very ARAH styled, but 2021 modernized , even giving us a look at an unmasked version . The unmasked version was only touch up as the paint apps were pretty off. So I cleaned up his beard, repainted his sunglasses and headset then added some light touch’s of matte to his cheeks. The remaining is all completely handpainted . 3 alternate heads: 1 hole baclava, 2 hole Baclava, and unmasked versions Real radio wire Real lanyard and knife wrap Battle damaged and bloody shield True to form and all nods to our beloved Shokwave of 1988, Here is my version: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr Here’s the deal. Simon Ghost Riley is my favorite Call Of Duty character. In season 2 of MW 2019 They released a skin for this character that I loved. The “Jawbone” skin. It’s a mixed bag. Vet MW players are divided compared to his OG skin. I happen to really like it. So I wanted to create a true to form 4 inch version . All completely hand painted. Dremeled, sized, cut cloth, real shemagh, tattoos on left forearm Garmin gps on right wrist Modified M4 “This is for my mates at Hereford” Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr This is one of my top 5 cobras . I feel like Major Bludd is that warrior who Joes truly fear. So with the very simple build I kept it mostly Joe Parts and decided less is more with the Major. I didn?€™t want to go crazy with his gear and equipment I wanted to simplify him for his terror. Bludd doesn?€™t need a lot to kill Joes. he is the killer. All hand painted , including face (thanks For the Part Coby) and vintage detail mixed with modern: Here he is: Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr This is a figure I did back when I first started. It came out decent at best. I think it was even critiqued. All good. Time to make it legendary. I?€™ve always liked the concept of this figure a whole bunch. Pure awesome as all around. So I thought how to make a serious threat in the sky built by Destro. Completely hand painted , built wired, dry brushed , you name it. Here?€™s TARGAT. Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr Pretty basic build. Desert scorpion was in the last hoorah for me. IMO a real hidden gem amongst what was and was coming with the neon era Joes. Knowing their backstory I wanted them a little more kitted for desert survival than Hasbro built and cobra sent them out with. I think these dudes are kinda likes cobras FFL. Outcasts, theives, z From all walks of life but also ruthless warriors. Besides his arms everything hand painted. Real neck shemagh , real cross stitching on shoulder pads Real wires for visor. I really liked painting the Scorpion lol. A robot scorpion Is pretty sick Untitled by Slice's Customs, on Flickr https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...low-light.html inch customs

It’s nice to see them all in one thread. A lot of good work in here. I thought you had more 6” customs though. Didn’t you make a Shockwave and SS too?

Tech Alley and Destro were my favorites to do. I got to free range them . Falcon took the longest, tedious tiger stripes lol. Thank you guys , they’ll be more to come!
