HOLY MOLY! The Bionic 6 Chopper & Klunk are SUPERB! I retro collected that line (love the die-cast, a few years back) & always loved the cartoon growing up (I have gray market DVDs - artwork I did was one the IMDB for the longest time lol. ) Your clay work looks awesome & I love how you incorporated MGR parts into Chopper. What a KILLER lineup!

Awesome in every way man .
and just to validate for people who don?t know clay molds extremely time consuming especially with how many pieces flint rocks lays out per figure. And that?s just prep time before painting. There?s a lot of time put into each of these and I want to make people aware of that Quote:

They are one of the vintage lines I haven't started adding to my collection. I had them as a kid and while the die-cast was cool the paint chipped so easy and they figures seemed to break where the plastic and die-cast parts connected on the arms and legs. Thanks Klunk was one I never thought I would make because I just couldn't wrap my head around how to even start him. Thanks buddy I really appreciate that. I'm just glad there are others out there that love these 80s lines and are enjoying the customs.

I don't show WIP pictures much but since the sculpting has been mentioned and I've said a bunch of times in this thread that was my focus to improve on over the last year or so. I'm still learning little tricks and trying to get better.
Klunk Chopper (I had already painted the overalls black to sculpt the chains over them)

That's awesome. Klunk is basically a fully sculpted piece. That's very cool

Thanks buddy. I just always figure people aren't that interested in the process as much as the finished product so I don't post them often. I really just take them as a reference tool for myself.

Okay, I just have to really dive in here because soooo much work went into each and every one of these!

Absolutely love seeing this group together because I know how much work you put into them and how much it meant to you having them all. Congrats on finishing them all and could not be happier to know you have a badass display of vintage CROOKS and custom CROOKS on display! Star Saber is badass! Another that I never heard about until you told me he was on the list but I?m happy you added him! Love the yellow line work on him. Breaks up the black perfectly and you get such vibrant coloring over the original dark colored green stuff. Then just such great sculpting work for the head. You really could have these scanned and mass produced. So much fun seeing your groups all come together in the epic crossovers that you envisioned when you started this project! Quote:
As I said before....this is not an easy group to make customs of but you absolutely nailed it! I?d buy this box set of figures in a second! Even more so now that I?m watching more of the cartoon and started having connections with some of them. Quote:
Like Axon said....he?s more green stuff than base figure! This might be your most impressive yet! I would have had no idea how to even start this one and you decided, ?eh, I?ll just sculpt an entire figure myself! No big deal!? So you get the hard part out of the way, then add a beautiful paint job......love it! These pictures are SOOOOO impressive because of the dozens (?) of hours you put into them! Is it dozens? Haha, I think it would have taken me years of dedicated work to get this group together. I do a little sculpt and then am like, ?okay, I?m good for a few months!? Haha. Quote:

Louie the Plumber! Seeing that Past & Present.....absolutely killed it! Always so impressed with how you add bulk to figures but then it?s the small details like the edges of his tank top which you totally didn?t have to do.....but it makes the figures 1000x better! You never take shortcuts when it comes to adding those extra small touches (which add a lot of time to each figure) and it really does make every custom a work of art. Absolutely love seeing this group together because I know how much work you put into them and how much it meant to you having them all. You really could have these scanned and mass produced. So much fun seeing your groups all come together in the epic crossovers that you envisioned when you started this project! I love seeing how you add sculpting on all of the existing parts to give them totally new looks to capture what each figure requires. Mirage is another that would be such an easy build if the exact parts needed were out.....but they are not, so you add just what you need to turn what you have into an absolute home run of a custom. She looks fantastic! As I said before....this is not an easy group to make customs of but you absolutely nailed it! I?d buy this box set of figures in a second! Even more so now that I?m watching more of the cartoon and started having connections with some of them. There is SO much going on here......and you nailed every piece! The head gear, chest accessories, gauntlet, rolled sleeves, every piece meshes perfectly to make an incredible figure! Like Axon said....he?s more green stuff than base figure! This might be your most impressive yet! I would have had no idea how to even start this one and you decided, ?eh, I?ll just sculpt an entire figure myself! No big deal!? Haha, I think it would have taken me years of dedicated work to get this group together. I do a little sculpt and then am like, ?okay, I?m good for a few months!? Haha. I?ve mentioned it to you before but your green stuff shots are invaluable to me! It?s the ?before? pics shared by you and Axon that really helped my figures with sculpt come together. You guys sharing your process is why I was able to make my V2 / V3 Eels and my Cobra La Royal Guard. Not sure I even attempt them if not for these types of pics from you guys, haha, and they definitely wouldn?t have come out half as recognizable. I have 4 more Crooks to make Nightmare, Bullit, Hyena and Koo Koo and then 5 more COPS Air Raid, Checkpoint, Heavyweight, Taser and Roadblock. I'm going to look at knocking out the Crooks first then move on to another group and hopefully circle back to the COPS before the end of the year. Saber Rider was one that had been requested so I finally made him. I do have the rest of the main cast on my list now, but it will be awhile before I get to them. The sculpt work is still improving. Hopefully I continue to improve. Klunk there just wasn't any other way around making him other than just completely from scratch really.
