I've tried to select the elite of the 80s here. He-Man, Transformers and Joe always seemed top tier with MASK and Thundercats next level. The turtles have been around since the 80s and have never gone away so they kind of extend their highest level of popularity beyond the 80s.

That’s a kickass childhood right there! Haha, EPIC group of the heavy hitters all together in the same scale, I love it!
I’m going heroes over villains with those two groups. Haha, although that Mumm-Ra looks like he may just clean house, heroes & villains alike. Love the job you did on him. Made him really imposing.

Aww, Duke 25th body looks pretty scrawny next to He-Man and the others, poor guy. And I agree with H&R that Mum-Ra looks like he could eat everyone else for breakfast.
Man it would be fun to see you depict fight scenes in the ring between heroes and villains from different universes!!! Maybe it’s because I just saw H&R’s comic strip this morning featuring Sonya! Too bad you guys aren’t neighbors! |

You killed them all bro. Great showcase of skills. But You know which ones I like the most, your centurions are absolutely the game winners IMO. Fantastic work

Too bad you guys aren’t neighbors! Thanks man. Centurions was my favorite cartoon for a time growing up. Joe and Thundercats always seemed to be the top two, but Centurions would be third no doubt and that Christmas I got them all they were #1. I haven't seen a lot of Centurion customs at all and even fewer in this scale so I really wanted to do them justice.

But I’d agree, Thundercats are probably more well know than MASK too. But below Joe, TF and MOTU.

Haha, it would be Flint’s nightmare if we were neighbors because my goal would be to sneak a neon accent onto all of his 80’s customs!
Yeah, unfortunately MASK is always sort of the lost franchise when talking to more casual fans. It’s too bad Hasbro hasn’t tried to get another Matt Trakker in stores even as a one off just to see if there would be some interest. I’m avoiding Joe’s in 6” for the most part but I’d buy a Matt Trakker in a second. But I’d agree, Thundercats are probably more well know than MASK too. But below Joe, TF and MOTU. Yeah, MASK ranks above cartoons like Centurions and Bionic 6 as I think they are probably a tier below. Then below that you get to things like Visionaries and Sectaurs. Things like Bravestarr and COPS are weird b/c people either remember them fondly or don't remember it at all.

Haha, neon didn’t kill GI JOE, it was the wave of 93/94 guys which just had one new paint app or so from their last release that killed it. The Battlecorps guys who were all new were great, it was the releases like Beachhead & Mutt where they were the same figures we had with just a different color vest or accessory that sat on the pegs.
Haha, how dare they!? I have it on good authority that Hondo preferred his magenta suit and muscle car! I’ll assume those guys didn’t like his European Sea adventure suit either! COPS is a weird one for me because it seems like something I would have liked but I only casually knew as I got older. That must have been on opposite of something else that I really liked so I just never saw the cartoon. The opening theme song definitely would have hooked me so I must have never had the show on. Bionic 6 is funny because I first heard the name in the last year or two when my buddy was trying to finish his collection. Then one day I saw them in your thread and was like, “dude, some guy on Hisstank made all of your weird metal guys!” That’s when I found out what the baseball guy I had growing up was. I thought he was just a weird KO gi joe made of metal. Figured he came from the dollar store or something. Haha. Definitely put MASK above those other ones. Then you had Ghostbusters which I remember being top tier to me growing up. I was all about them for a while. guess the movies adds to their popularity though. Then there were those few others that we talked about before like Sky Commanders & Air Raiders which were in that lower tier.
