The Voltron is truly what any Voltron fan wanted as a kid. I've taken pictures of my Starcom guys before, they should be in this thread somewhere and they are on the first page where I have an index of sorts. Awesome, can't wait to see yours.

Those Galaxy Rangers are amazing! Had you posted them before? I thought I followed this thread pretty closely, but I don't recall ever seeing these.

The Voltron set is a good one! I found it interesting that "Toyguru" said Mattel had to make a decision on whether to license Voltron OR Thundercats back when that series was made, & went with Voltron because they felt Thundercats was too similar to MOTU.
But your custom Galaxy Rangers beat all the Voltron figs! ;-) |

They are actually a lot more out of scale as they are true 3.75 and the Rangers are on Bossfight bodies so more 4 inch scale. That's just some posing on my part to make them look much closer than they are. I just don't want anybody grabbing the Voltron people thinking they are the same size as Marauders and Bossfight.

If you are an 80s kid then you know it was the greatest time to be a kid and it is mostly due to Reagan deregulating children's programming allowing for what became basically 30 minute toy commercials disguised as cartoons and it was glorious!
Once I had the Reagan head sculpt I knew this picture had to be taken with all the customs that are part of my 80s project. President Reagan

So not true customs, but more modifications. I have been watching Robotech recently and came across some 4 inch Robotech figures released by Toynami. The sculpts are great and extremely accurate, but the lack of elbow articulation was killing the figures so I decided to add it. I'm still working on more characters but these are the ones I've done so far.
Gloval I did paint his boots black (they were white) and I painted his skin tone darker to match the cartoon as the original figure had his skin tone the same as Rick and Lisa. I also replaced his hands with open palms and painted them as he originally had the same hands as Rick which are actually gloves so they looked off. Commander Gloval Rick Hunter Lisa Hayes

When I first heard about these Robotech Figures I was excited, but was disappointed that they lacked the articulation on the elbows, one of the main reasons why I didn't purchase them the other reason was they seemed a little taller in scale to 1/18 or 3 3/4"-4" and would not fit on my Veritech Fighter. You improved these figures by at least 50% IMO, Nice Modifications Flint Rocks
