Hell yeah, here we go! These latest MASK customs are tremendous! I loved all of the COPS stuff, but MASK is easily one of my top 4 favorite 80's toy lines. I loved all of your previous MASK customs, and have been waiting to see some new ones. Hope there's plenty more to come!

Ali Bombay came out great! I had no idea how you?d build him, the BF blank with sculpt is fantastic for him. Really like how you nailed his uniform, the colors and sculpt pop so well. I have to work on getting my sculpt lines as solid as yours.
Then I love the head, another that I wasn?t sure if you?d handle with a cast or if it would be all sculpt. That?s perfect with your paint job. His mask is excellent as well! Total package, just nailed this one. Love seeing him with a modern build, haha, I want all of these guys for my collection now! Hasbro would easily take so much of my money if they did 4? or 6? MASK figures. I wouldn?t even want 6? ones but I wouldn?t be able to resist them if they came out! Yeah, Julio was one where sometimes he looked more tan, other times he looked gray so I think color will be the biggest problem I have with him too. I have a head I?ll use for a pic but then I have a helmet I?ll use which will be less accurate than your Mask but it?ll likely be how I display him. I always think about making the Mask table as a way to display the masks for guys I wouldn?t have wearing them. Or like you said, have a little stand next to them with the mask on it, that?s how I display my vintage guys because I have a bunch with perfect faces still so I never put their masks on. Firefly was so cool, played with it all the time so I?ll probably try to get it cheap again as well unless I find our original. I want to say I have the Ace that came with Meteor, not sure if I have the original. He had some cool figures though and the original vehicle always looked awesome. Hopefully I find a good MASK deal at the toy show later this year, been super expensive at the few i hit over the past year and a half. Would be cool to add something decent to my MASK shelf though. Awesome, can?t wait to see those guys! I still owe you some Mask customs so I have to get working on one soon. Same as with C.O.P.S., I'm hoping no company picks up the line or my customs won't be special. Lol. Quote:
You are KILLING ME! Those pics may never be topped, just such an awesome awesome group! I want them all! These ones just hit all of the nostalgia marks because I?m very familiar with all of these characters and their original figures.
I might say Dusty, Gloria and Alex are my top 3 in some order, maybe that order. They are all so fantastic looking though so I?ve combed the photos several times to come up with those three. Who are your favorites, who was the easiest to make and who was the most difficult? Thanks. I appreciate it. Quote:

C.O.P.S. and MASK are two lines that I always thought had potential, but wasn't crazy about the size/execution of the figures (C.O.P.S. were bigger than I care for, as I am a 1/18th scale guy, and their proportions were a bit wonky; MASK were too small, and lacked the articulation of Joes, but they had the coolest vehicles and I liked the actual masks each one had). That being said, you've brought both lines into the correct scale and proportions, and made them very likable... I would buy figures like these at retail, if they followed your cue! Parts, sculpting and paints all come together very nicely in your figures, brother!

Beatiful figure, you're truly the master of sculpting man. I'm experimenting with some sculpting material these days and hope to reach this level some day.
Beautiful work! |

Haha, Bruno is another that I?m so used to seeing the toy that the animation look totally throws me off. Really like how you tackled him, that build with the Mohawk screams Bruno to me so I love it. Paint and everything for the face and clothing look fantastic as always.
That?s a tough Mask to sculpt, especially being in a bright color but I think you did a great job with it. Has the toon look when I pulled up a picture to view them side by side, then the coloring and fit on the body are perfect. He?s a tough one, love the job you did on the face and hair...but it looks soooo cool with the mask on. Haha. Think I like the masked look better but this is another that I?d go crazy trying to put on my shelf because I?d want both looks. He wasn?t one I was gonna tackle but I think he?d work well with some of the Marauder Vietnam parts so he?s on my list now. Haha. At some point I?m gonna have a ton of unmasked MASK guys once I place an order or Vietnam drops.

One more mask character and then I'll take a break from them and revisit them to finish off the whole line.

Never cared for Nash?s design, mainly because he was another who I was more familiar with the plain toy look and not the much better animated look.....like it a lot more seeing your custom! Something that happened to me a lot with the lesser Joes from back in the day, be a figure I never cared about, then I?d do a custom and all of a sudden, hey, I like Steamroller now!
Nailed it with his outfit, great part selection, then I really love the head you have for him. It?s perfect! The hair, the glasses, that smirk, that?s just a fantastic head. Can?t imagine him being done with anything better. Paint job is great as always, really like the sculpting of his chest plate and the paint choice really makes it stand out. Then that was a mask that I had NO idea how you?d do, it had such a weird look on the cartoon with the elongated design but you totally pulled it off! Looks so awesome as a total package, another that I?d be going back and forth with on her to display because I love the unmasked look......but I LOVE that shot of all the Venom agents together all masked up as well! If you?d like, I still have my childhood Outlaw so I won?t mind you just boxing up all of those awesome Venom figures and sending them my way for a photoshoot in front of it! Haha. How Hasbro didn?t do two MASK box sets the way they did the original 25th Joe ones, I?ll never be able to figure out.
