Julio Lopez and Floyd Malloy are awesome! Those happen to be two of the few I had as a kid. Great work!

M.A.S.K. is my focus right now for the project. Finished Julio, Floyd and Ace and I'm working on Ali, Bruno and Nash. I finished sculpting Bruno's mask and I have Nash's mask done, but I need to do the shoulder part of it and then paint them all. I eventually want to finish all of the mask agents, but I'll move on to something else and come back to mask later this year probably.

Julio looks great! Love the coloring you went with for him, the blue & orange pops well off the tan. That?s a really good head for him too, hair and the mustache look perfect. Loving the knee pads and the collar too. Then the mask is super fun, love both looks, hardest part about these guys, choosing a display option. Do you have them all one way or just sort of by preference in your display?
You went more sculpt than I was expecting with him, makes him more accurate than what I had in my head for him. Have to knock mine out so we can see them side by side. He always had a design I loved growing up, then loved Firefly. Such an incredible vehicle. Missed you dropping Ace in at first. Another that came out looking badass! Love that head for him, then his mask is another that they did a great job on. Torso build came out perfectly, then it blends perfectly with the lower body setup you have and his mask. Gonna be awesome to see you start pumping this thread with MASK the next couple of weeks. Always wanted these in 1/18th and your group is just spectacular. Quote:
Oh no, I didn't sculpt that mask. I will be sculpting Bruno's and Nash's coming up though. That one I'm sure came from the site that I refuse to use the name of as they screwed so many of us over. I did sculpt the hair on the unmasked head and yeah cartoon Floyd was a normal looking guy not that horribly disfiguring grimace on his fact the toy has.
Lmao, that grimace is what I?m trying to figure out for my future custom of him. That?s how I always pictured him because I must never have caught episodes of him from the show.

Lots of great sculpt & paint work on both your new additions for M.A.S.K.! You have been getting stuff out an amazing pace lately considering all the work that needs to be done! Kudos bro!

Gonna be awesome to see you start pumping this thread with MASK the next couple of weeks. Always wanted these in 1/18th and your group is just spectacular. Ohhhh, haha, okay. I was gonna say, that mask was straight up wizardry if done with green stuff! I knew you said you grabbed a bunch more of the casted masks, I just forgot who you had now. Lmao, that grimace is what I?m trying to figure out for my future custom of him. That?s how I always pictured him because I must never have caught episodes of him from the show. Can't wait to see what you come up with for yours. I had Firefly as a kid and loved it. I need to pick it up again as its one of the ones I don't currently own. Ace is one of the forgotten members I feel like. He has a cool design and talked like John Wayne in the cartoon, but he is another one I never owned as a kid or now actually. I was happy with the sculpt work on him too. Ali is nearly complete so he will be the next one posted. Bruno will probably be after him as I finished sculpting the mask and have started painting him and I just finished the final touches on Nash's mask as it is one of the more difficult things I have sculpted. Hopefully, they look good painted. So, Nash will be the last one as far as MASK is concerned and I will revisit them again at some point. Thanks. Well, I work on several customs all at the same time. So, I sculpt on one then set it aside sculpt on another, come back and paint on the first, sculpt on a third...etc. So, it just seems like I get a bunch done all at one time. Then I pace out posting them over several days. LOL.

Ali Bombay came out great! I had no idea how you?d build him, the BF blank with sculpt is fantastic for him. Really like how you nailed his uniform, the colors and sculpt pop so well. I have to work on getting my sculpt lines as solid as yours.
Then I love the head, another that I wasn?t sure if you?d handle with a cast or if it would be all sculpt. That?s perfect with your paint job. His mask is excellent as well! Total package, just nailed this one. Love seeing him with a modern build, haha, I want all of these guys for my collection now! Hasbro would easily take so much of my money if they did 4? or 6? MASK figures. I wouldn?t even want 6? ones but I wouldn?t be able to resist them if they came out! Quote:
Yeah, I was really pleased with how Julio turned out from the sculpt to the paint. The tan was actually more difficult to get right than I thought...brown, white and yellow to get that color. They are all displayed wearing their masks. Sometimes the heads are sitting at their feet on the stands and others times the heads are put up. Depends if I have taken pictures with them recently or not honestly.
Hopefully, they look good painted. So, Nash will be the last one as far as MASK is concerned and I will revisit them again at some point. I always think about making the Mask table as a way to display the masks for guys I wouldn?t have wearing them. Or like you said, have a little stand next to them with the mask on it, that?s how I display my vintage guys because I have a bunch with perfect faces still so I never put their masks on. Firefly was so cool, played with it all the time so I?ll probably try to get it cheap again as well unless I find our original. I want to say I have the Ace that came with Meteor, not sure if I have the original. He had some cool figures though and the original vehicle always looked awesome. Hopefully I find a good MASK deal at the toy show later this year, been super expensive at the few i hit over the past year and a half. Would be cool to add something decent to my MASK shelf though. Awesome, can?t wait to see those guys! I still owe you some Mask customs so I have to get working on one soon.

You are KILLING ME! Those pics may never be topped, just such an awesome awesome group! I want them all! These ones just hit all of the nostalgia marks because I?m very familiar with all of these characters and their original figures.
I might say Dusty, Gloria and Alex are my top 3 in some order, maybe that order. They are all so fantastic looking though so I?ve combed the photos several times to come up with those three. Who are your favorites, who was the easiest to make and who was the most difficult?
