It?s been so long now, I always forget you started with them. Just remember sending those initial pics to my buddy saying, ?hey, this guy made customs of your weird metal knockoff Joe?s!? Haha.
Nightmare is gonna be absolutely insane! Can?t wait to see all of that gold! Is that pretty much every character? I know they had a ton just in the cartoon, but you always talked about the comic more so I imagine they had a few there who didn?t make the cut into animated or toy form. Haha, it is so funny to see how many ?requested? figures you add because this thread took off. Makes me feel better about my 82-94 Joe goal because it?s at least a set number of figures. Your list just keeps getting more and more massive! Oh, you are definitely improving by the day with your sculpting work. It?s getting to be so much fun looking at the finished product and trying to figure out how things were layered on prior to seeing any ?green stuff? pics. Super impressive and extremely helpful as I start thinking more and more about goofy stuff like the Lunartix Empire.

Yeah, the project has grown much larger than ever intended, but as long as I'm still enjoying it I'll keep making them.

Something I enjoy doing once or twice a year as more customs are added is trying to think where all the great 80s properties would rank among each other.
80s Tiered List Tier 1: The usual suspects as it didn't change from my original list. Duke Lion-O Optimus Prime He-Man Leonardo Tier 2 Superman representing Super Powers not just himself She-Ra Quick Silver Matt Trakker Peter Venkman Bulletproof Tier 3 Rambo representing Force of Freedom Hannibal from A-Team Captain America representing Secret Wars not himself Leader 1 Jem Max Ray Tier 4 BraveStarr Flash Gordon representing Defenders of the Earth Rick Hunter Thundarr Jayce Bionic 1 Chuck Norris representing Karate Kommandos Tier 5 Pirate Lion Leoric Blackstar Dargon Captain Power Warlord representing World of Warlord toy line Tier 6 Dash Derringer Crystar Herc Armstrong Mike Summit Mako Zachary Foxx Power Lord Tier 7 Saber Rider Ulysses Dirk Courage Shield from Mighty Crusaders Galtar

Koo-Koo looks great! Love the color scheme, looks like you grabbed from the same shelf that I used for my last Zarana. Haha. Not sure I would have thought to do him with a BF blank but you nailed it with the sculpted bits to the point where I had to give it a second look to make sure it was a black blank. The gauntlets and boot / leg sleeve are great.....but that open shirt and collar look! Fantastic! More or less sculpted the perfect Destro torso right there. Great job as always! Excellent job on the head, headband and gold belt as well.
And the tiered pics......I know we talked about them a bit and you gave me the heads up on where some of your figures were going, but it?s a totally different thing to see them built out! I can?t really nitpick it, especially because I was able to talk Mike Summit out of the last tier. Haha. So let?s see , going by tier, Favorite Toyline, Favorite Figure: Tier 1: Joe, your Lion-O. Tier 2: MASK, your Matt Trakker (he?s so much better than Hasbro?s.) Tier 3: Secret Wars, that awesome Rambo! Tier 4: Karate Kommandos, Bionic 1 (those colors pop and sculpted bits are top notch!) Tier 5: Sectaurs, that Captain Power is so badass! I definitely want one of those! Tier 6: Sky Commanders, Mike Summit is beautiful but Dash is a close second, killed it with the paint job. Tier 7: never heard of anything of these but I?m going Dirk Courage for both! That?s a bad ass character design & custom! Fantastic customs & pics!

Yep, your push for Summit and how great the toy line was got him bumped up a tier. The tiered lists are always just a fun way to see all of the great 80s stuff in a pic together. Like a childhood dream. Thanks. As I've said the 80s just provided so much good stuff. It is fun to be able to recreate them in modern form.

You really are getting your money?s worth out of the Boss Fight blanks.....and another 90?s color scheme! This one really makes me want to revisit my Eco Warrior Deep Six with a navy blue BF blank. The legs of your custom seems spot on for him if a knife is added.
This one is so awesome! Love the head sculpt / expression! Is that a joker head you used as the base? Did a fantastic job on the face cover, hair and the fabric looking bits. Color matching is spot on too! Looks badass with your group of CROOKS. Easily one of the best custom groups anyone has tackled.
