The cobra paratrooper is my favorite out of the 3! Great builds man!

Thanks, I wasn't going to make that character originally, and I wasn't really feeling it as I started to put him together) but I am quite happy with how it came out.

Thanks, I liked their solution of using the hoses around the body (and that is what made me try and make one). I don't know if they had hoses that fit into those grenade loops but I had to find a peg (in this case cutting bits off a paper clip) and gluing them into the loops, I could then push the hoses over the pegs sticking out.
I also forgot to say on the post that I filed down the brim on the front of the helmet so the visor now slides up and down easily. |

Fantastic execution of all three characters! Although I'm not so familiar with Backblast I really like this modern era version of him; the distress t-shirt look and little detail/notepad on his thigh are quite nice and adhere to the original version.
It's really creative of you to start with a fodder part being the paratrooper harness and then build a figure around it. Excellent choice going with the blue trooper as the modern look suits him better. Flawless execution! Motor Viper has never been a favorite of mine simply because of the odd use of two different shades of blue and black accents and the zero accessories of course. You've done a great job accessorizing that awesome looking tactical vest with armor and avoided the black color on the trooper's body. Beautiful work all together mate! |

I felt the modern look for the Paratrooper was the way to go, although the look of the WW2 based one was pretty good. Those WW2 parts are now being used in an Oktober Guard Wong WIP, although not sure I will continue with that one so they might get moved on again. Like Backblast, Motor Viper is not really a character I planned to do (even though he is from my era) as I never really liked him, but happy with how he turned out. |

Always loved Backblast growing up, had both versions as a kid so they are both on my to-do list to knock out once I have the parts. You killed it with him! Such a cool build for a badass character and I’m with you on the shirt decal, think it came out looking really decent.
Your cobra paratrooper looks great. I actually did the same type of thing using that helmet but with some of the light blue parts that I had in my fodder bin. Have to really revisit him one day and finalize his look. Like how you broke up some of the colors by adding the red. You definitely took that pre-built Motor Viper and pushed him up to an epic level by adding those paint apps! Another figure I always loved growing up so always cool to see someone stay true to the original colors.

Love your take on Stalker! Steel Brigade, Cobra Paratrooper and Motor Viper are looking awesome as well!

Another figure I always loved growing up so always cool to see someone stay true to the original colors. the paratrooper was looking a bit dark, the red does give it a bit of brightness to make him stand out. I thought if I was going to make a Motor Viper it had to be somewhat more vintage accurate (even though I don't really remember the figure as a kid). Thanks, Stalker will get updated when the Vietnam kickstarter comes out but happy with how he looks with the parts currently available. People do seem to be liking my Steel Brigade inspired by the more modern new sculpt version (I wasn't sure they would, but it gives more options), and Cobra always needs more army builders. |
