The original Dreadnoks were, and still are, the best! That trio of hooligans made Zartan the star that he was (okay, so Zartan was pretty darn cool on his own, but they were a great addition to his connection to Cobra)! Your Buzzer is tops! Another that I may just have to copy...

I always liked any figure with camo, and I would have loved this figure if it was a new character, but for me Wet Suit has to be in his frogman outfit. Quote:
Really fun color scheme for the Cobra Commander and I’m loving those dreadnok! Great job, once again!
The marine legs look great for that version, that’s probably the way I’ll take mine even though it would be awesome to do him in an actual British uniform, just not sure I’d be able to do that camo pattern justice yet. Can’t wait to see how you decide to do him. I am thinking I may go the way of my Action Force 2 Para http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...-style-11.html for the torso with the British legs (it will look nothing like the v4 figure but in my mind might look pretty cool). With my dwindling supply of parts I am sure yours will be finished before mine so it would be good to see what yours looks like. Thanks, the character's look may be after my time, but at least I can argue the comic appearance was my era. |

Great work on all of these. Always a great source of inspiration and torture knowing that Marauder is currently out of stock on most of these parts! LOL! Jason |

Love this Wet Suit! I've made a similar custom using the Recon-Ops and that same Beachhead web gear (my favorite). I haven't even thought of using one of the new WWII head sculpts. I'll have to see if I have that orange/red hair sculpt (pretty sure I do).

I felt that the helmeted CC had to be light blue (which was a horrible colour to paint match), but adding the Cobra blue and red elements I felt really tied him back in to the rest of the Cobra figures.

I’m less “complete accuracy” and more, go with what you think would look cool so I think that build would work great for him. I hear you on the parts, especially with how many figures you’re pumping out, which is incredibly impressive. I need the hat, bullets & straps so will be a bit before I can tackle mine too.

The light blue pops so well so I can imagine he looks great posed with a bunch of Cobras, plus it’s always great to have a Commander with a slightly different look since we have so many navy / dark blue versions.

I was never going to be able to make Deep Six using MTF parts, but thought I would have a go at the "deck" figure I remember from the comics. Again another figure where I used the t-shirt torso to represent a jumper. Paired that with some Zombie Labs arms I had lying around from another custom and a Steel Brigade collar. I gave him a knit cap because I thought it would look better to a boonie hat. I considered whether I should give him a life vest (it seemed to come and go magically depending on if he was above or below deck) but thought it would cover up the work I had done on his chest. The accessories may not scream Deep Six but I seem to remember whenever he was dressed like this in the comic he seemed to be battling fires or breaking out his Sharc using the axe so I thought they would be fun.

that's from the great story where Snow Job's out on the WHALE hovercraft in his winter gear in the middle of the Atlantic, with Torpedo in his wetsuit!
