It's official! I'm in love with the Shadow Ninja series! Zarana blasts onto he scene with an irresistibly fun color pallet & the dios are pure eye candy! She is one of my TOPS overall for the thread! Bare-assed in the back...an extra perk! lol The extra mile you take to keep this place, fresh, fun, & inspirational are always very much appreciated. Once again... cheers!

Okay, so I whine about how my Model Masters get cancelled so I have to switch over to another brand of top line paints which aren't cheap either and you're just like yeah I use whatever and some of mine are really old and drying up and yet the paint is always so clean and well done. Really makes me rethink my spending habits.
Zarana looks great. I'm not familiar with that version of her (not the shadow one) but both customs look sharp. I'm really liking the shadow concept so far and of course the dio shots are always awesome.

Shadow Ninja Scarlett and Zarana kick real ass!!
So creative with a high degree of innovation, your Shadow Ninjas are quite distinct. The neon on translucent blue on Zarana look so good and gotta say the colors on Scarlett are spot on and just mesh so well together. BFS orange blank is definitely the way to go to start building on; love the military green MTF sheen guards on that look by the way. Really creative on your part. Awesome work bro, can't wait to see more! |

Much appreciated! Haha. I would love to say jumping around from line to line, character to character, etc is planned....but it seems like planning completely stalls my progress so I?ll go in, piece some stuff together and then won?t pick up those parts for months. It?s why Cobra La still isn?t done, haha, they were next up after my Royal Guard and then it feels like I?ve done forty figures since then. I do have more Shadows Ninjas built......but we?ll see if they are next or if some other stuff jumps in line. Haha. Quote:

Super fun shots to take, especially since I?ve been watching a lot of cartoons with close quarters fighting recently. The Zarana this one was spinned off from and what my first custom is based off of is how she looked in the Get Tough cartoon. Have a few others I?m planning to make but this one was the easiest to accomplish with the parts currently available because she was just one Boss Fight figure with the accessories she came with painted. Some of the parts used on this pair were ones I used for the first time so always feels good to get some use out of things that have been sitting in the fodder bins unused for a while. As always, thanks again everyone for the comments and motivation! Very much appreciated!

Just realized, with the Shadow Ninjas I just dropped, finished off another block of 9 for the Table of Contents.
Another really fun group to put together. Difficult one for me here to pick a favorite, it?s between the Alley Viper and Interrogator, really love how both of these came out. Probably would have to go with Interrogator in the top spot though. Haha, I know, shocker, he picked the one with neon paint! Just such a unique build and that head cast.....makes the colors pop so much for me on the shelf. Love the Alley Viper as well though because that was just such a unique color scheme, I think I really nailed the face and then as Steel Brigade pointed out, haven?t seen another custom of this version yet so it?s cool to add some shine to a figure maybe some didn?t know about. The Red Shadows group and Neo Viper are fun adds because those were long overdue figures to be finished. All five of those sat in various stages of In Progress for quite a while so it felt good to finally get the paint and decals applied so I could take some official pics of them. Then this Shadow Ninja pair was an idea that I had for about a year now but never worked to put all of the pieces together. Really happy with the finished products though so glad I finally put in the effort to get those two added as official members of my Shadow Ninja sub teams. Not sure that I?ll get another custom in before the year end but I have plenty of parts and ideas so we?ll see! Haha.

What, new customs?! And I got to take toy pictures! Haha, way too long of a break, been checking out way too many awesome customs posted here recently so the itch to add some new stuff to my shelves and take some fun pictures definitely returned!
So just an easy pair today, always wanted the official releases of the Crimson Strike Team set but with the box set coming with so many duplicate troop builders and the price being high even back when it was originally released, I decided at some point I?d just tackle the group myself. So I already have my Baroness (although she?s getting an update if it goes well), now it?s on to the Twins! Started out with two junker 25th anniversary figures that I got for a dollar each years back. Originally I planned to build out the Twins with new parts but since these were beat up and I didn?t have any other ideas for the bodies themselves, I decided to kill two birds with one stone: clean up these kicked around figures & get my Strike Team expanded. So original 25th builds, just cleaned them and re-did all of the paint into the Crimson versions except the eyes since those were about the only parts that still looked to be in good shape. Went with a neutral skin tone since I wanted to test this color for flesh tone out of the box. I like my typical mix better but don?t think this color is too bad if future paint rub is a concern on exposed skin. Then since the armor pieces weren?t included when I bought this pair, I went with the chrome Marauder shoulder armor piece to get that look. Then topped things off with a pair of silver cobras emblems from ToyHax. Glad to finally have these guys on my shelves after years of wanting that set. Tomax -Crimson Strike Team Xamot - Crimson Strike Team Brothers! My Crimson Strike Team currently being built out: And into the action!

Glad to see you back at it. I know this have been in the works for a pretty good while. You knocked the dust off of customizing right though because that paint looks incredibly clean. Honestly can't even tell it is a custom paint job.
