PS: Love seeing the SWAMPMASHER! I used to put Joe '88 Storm Shadow in that thing & rain pain on Cobra as a kid!

Great take on Neo Viper! You're version looks much better than the original figure.

Beautiful interpretation of the Neo Viper! Really like the brighter yellow (again you make it seem so easy) coupled with black touch ups, you've really taken this to a different level. Yellow Shock Ops are awesome and this is my favorite MTF helmet, then going with the chest plate and respirator option, you've executed this one nicely!
Cobra logo decal looks nice yet I'd love to see it again once the sculpted cobra logo is finalized. Always enjoyed your sculpting. I'd like to borrow this recipe and make my own sometime down the road. Great stuff man! |

Thanks! Really enjoying this custom now that he?s finally shelf ready.

Thanks, Itch! Quote:
I had a list of 100+ characters when I first got into MTF builds & Yellow Neo-Viper was on that back half of that list (honestly I like this color scheme the best.) That list has evolved over the years into new lists of characters... as I create each drop of 5, being pushed fwd by the story, availability of parts of what I want to make, & new ideas that come forward. Somehow Yellow Neo-Viper got lost in all that shuffle lol
...NOW I see what you brought here, how you brightened him even further, added some snazzy paint & personal touches, & make him engaged in your always awesome dio-shots... & it has me thinking, I should either put him back on my list... OR come over to your house & play lol. Awesome stuff buddy, you inspire us all in many ways! Lmao, like my friend always jokes, better bring your sunglasses if you are visiting because the amount of 90?s neon on display could blind someone! Thanks as always! Super fun figure to add a little extra to and then always enjoyable to get them in some action. Definitely look forward to seeing some Neo Viper variants in your thread down the road! Haha, thanks! The stock yellow just wasn?t enough for me, couldn?t allow him to blend in on a shelf. Thanks! Nice when it?s as easier build, then I can just focus on adding a few extra touches so he?s a little unique. Quote:

Appreciate that, probably when I start working on some of the other colors, I?ll take another shot at sculpting or free hand painting the logo. This one wasn?t bad since it?s a red logo, the blue one has that neon yellow logo that I don?t have a sticker of so I?ll definitely need the new cobra logo done by hand for that one. Plus I?d like him to be just a little more accurate so that cool emblem is definitely a want for me. Borrow away, always fun to see what tweaks people make when they make something similar. Might give me some ideas if I make the other colors a little different.

Pictures say they are from august of 2017......so it?s been a while since I built a vintage Joe vehicle. And back before I had any lighting and fancy backdrops or paper to stage my pictures. Haha. I still apparently did the effects all the way back then though.

I would say welcome back...but I've been MIA for awhile too. Figured you would come back to the customs swinging with some BRIGHT troopers. The Interrogator is sweet. As usual I've never seen him before, but smooth paint job.
I thought Alley Viper looked absurd in his orange and blue color scheme (though I do like it) and now you throw that out there. Again I've never seen that version before but he seems right up your alley (pun intended). Good to have you back at the customs again.

Haha, yeah, funny that i didn?t get the urge to paint something easy right off the bench, nope, it needed to be neon and stuff with sculpting & base coats. He?s one I don?t even think I remember seeing in the mail order pamphlets as a kid. As soon as I saw that purple Alley Viper it almost felt like I owed it to everyone to make the custom. Even more so once Steel Brigade noted that he never saw a custom of it before. I can?t make poor Rob do all of the random goofball 90?s and 2000?s Joe variants. Appreciate it, really love how the purple came out with that one. Just made it pop more than it would have had I just painted the white camo onto the Marauder purple.
