Nice job on the Cobra-La Royal Guard and the DEF Head-Hunter! Both are very solid builds, and extra kudos on the Royal Guard's sculpting work. Keep up the great work!

Man that gristle and headhunter are fantastic. I gather headman ( does that sound like a bad porn actor name to anyone? Haha ) is on deck?

Great figure, I always thought the Evil Headhunters were one of the best sub groups "after my time". It will be interesting to see how you do all the spikes on the Headhunter Stormtrooper.

Thanks! Thought the black German build would be perfect for him and really love how the finish product looks!

Thanks! Really loving how the Headhunters are coming together. Never had the full group as a kid so really awesome to start getting to see them causing trouble together in the modern collection. Quote:

Haha, we’ll see what you think of the Stormtrooper next! Haha. I cheated a bit with his spikes though, went with less is more. Haha, thanks! I think whoever the custom is of is undefeated in the pictures so far. Curious now though I’ll have to go back and confirm. This guy definitely wasn’t losing though after how excited I was to make the sculpted bits work.

Super fun one to make as I continue progress on the Headhunter group. I really thought Headman was a cool leader but by far my favorite of the group and one that I did own as a kid was the Headhunter Stormtrooper. This figure was just such a total badass with the cool helmet, dark uniform and spikes.....the Joe’s didn’t stand a chance! Thankfully for them he wasn’t called into action every battle because he would have put a lot of L’s in the loss column for the Joes.
Started this one out with a black knight Boss Fight blank, their spike accessory, some web gear and finished out their parts by adding the helmet and skull face. Then finished off the package by adding a Marauder knife, sheath, holster, pistol and a pouch. Full body paint job with a gun metal gray mix, then added some black and gold accents to really make him pop. Absolutely love the knight build in this color scheme, looks so badass. Really happy with the decision to go with the larger spikes and rivets as opposed to all of the smaller spikes. Think it makes him uniform with my regular Headhunter and comes off as more imposing. Headhunter Stormtrooper I just love this picture: With the other Headhunters I have to date. Turning out to be such a cool group of customs: Making deals:

That is a badass picture! You know with these you being troop builders you need more than one. LOL! Don't even start with the bossfight figures are expensive. The whole group you are creating here is awesome and as usual love the group shot.

You're truly killing it with the Evil Headhunters series!! These last two customs are probably my favorites so far, granted I have quite a few that top my long list of favorites
Outstanding Headhunter Trooper, I love the paint scheme and how you added the black/gold accents! And I totally agree with you, the knight build here is just badass! Kudos for an amazing job! Last edited by paokole; 02-24-2021 at 01:54 PM.. |
