I feel like it’s always that way with the non military looking vehicles. Growing up I wasn’t crazy about the Slam, Battle Bunker & the Hydro Sled but I picked them all up really cheap at shows in recent years and started to really like them.

Glad I could get the spotlight on some of those lesser known versions that I always enjoyed. That Theodore head is so awesome, definitely post some pics if you think of any other uses for it. We just need it in a bunch of different hair colors now.

That’s how I feel about the Lifeline (and a bunch of my earlier customs), he could def be improved with maybe an 86 vest & some red paint....he’s just been like this on my shelf forever now so I’m hesistent to make changes. I do want to add the logo to his hat, that’s one thing I’ll definitely do to him at some point.

I did a custom of the Battle Corps Lifeline. I think the vest you used is more appropriate than an 86 one. Just my 2 cents. Great customs!

Thanks! If I’m gonna take anyone’s advice on my Lifeline custom it’s gonna be from the person with Lifeline as his screen name. Haha. Appreciate the feedback. I didn’t see a thread for you, would love to see how your BC Lifeline came out.

Then for the official start, here’s my Star Brigade Duke. Another figure that I had growing up, didn’t get as much use as the armored SB version but I started to appreciate him more as I got older. Then I loved how my Marauder update came out. I believe he was one of the first Marauder figures that I painted.

Another guy that is just all Marauder parts with some dark green paint added. I hadn’t really used any of the gunner helmets when I put this guy together but the second I gave him the silver helmet I loved the look, so I left him with what I thought looked the best over what was most accurate.

Great job man! I'm personally a Star Brigade fan and I think they get way more flak than they deserve!

Haha, agreed! Think it was because the initial guys weren’t built like Joes.....I always loved them though. Plus that Pogo repaint was awesome!

I have some remakes & new members to the line coming once I get the pictures taken so cant wait to show them off.

*Edit: Whoops! I missed the last page somehow, leaving out some of the other great customs you've come up with! The Astro-Vipers (both versions) and the Star Brigade Duke show the potential of MTF parts (combined with a little bit of Hasbro/Joe accessories) for updating some of the classic figures from yesteryear! Great job on all of these!

Thanks, Shakka! I appreciate it! I love how versatile the MTF line is, plenty of times I’m staring at YoJoe or one of my later year o-rings thinking there’s no way, then you start piecing it together & realize Marauder John put out exactly what you need! Haha.

Next up is my Star Brigade Wild Weasel. I wanted a second version of him & because I always felt the Cobra’s were outnumbered in the original Star Brigade line (at least in named characters), I decided this would be a good sub team for him.

One of my favorite “original” customs that I made from Marauder parts. Just a little red & chrome added to MTF & a helmet pulled from a bin.

If anyone knows who the helmet belongs too, I’d love to know, assumed it was a 2000’s Wild Weasel but I couldn’t find any with a removable helmet.

I want to take some vehicle shots of him but not sure what he should have. A stiletto, the original Pogo or something else, maybe something original. Open to suggestions, haha.

Looks really sharp, and nice work with the chrome pen. Did you ever see the cancelled 50th Wild Weasel? I ask because this has a very similar aesthetic, and I'm just curious if that's a coincidence.
