Haha, thanks! Can’t be too much of a Hit & Run fan if I never gave a custom a go. First figure I ever tried face camo on too.

How’d you stripe his face? Brush or toothpick?

Thanks! Actually used a paint pen, only issue is the paint stayed wet and will smear if I touch it. Not sure if using the spray seal will mess it up or not.
Now I use a brush for painting faces, like the Rocky & Big Ben that I just did, this was a custom I’ve had hanging in my display for a while now though so it was done before I got better with a brush.

Thanks! I’m definitely getting better with brushes, some things I’m doing now that I never would have handled well had I done them when I first started painting. Sort of just bouncing around this week because I’m in the middle of some groups I’m working on and my other theme week will require some extra time to take the pictures, so going with Battle Corps Leatherneck today. He’s a figure that I always passed on growing up but recently picked up at a toy show and ended up liking. He’s a good teammate for Battlecorps fisherman Bazooka who I did have when the line was out. The base figure build I saw on hisstank before, I just can’t remember who put it together so if anyone knows, please yell it out so I can give credit. I tried a search and going through a few of the threads done by the regulars but couldn’t find it. Definitely the inspiration to let me see that this figure could be done using MTF. So full Marauder build, I just did a full paint job on the pants & boots, then hit the accessories with the bright blue highlights. I plan on switching out the hat whenever Marauder John does one where both sides are pinned up. Seeing the picture with all three versions, I definitely need to redo the v2, haha. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Doesn’t say gloss or anything on that marker but you’re probably right since it does have a nice shine to it. Love how it applied because it’s not too clean of a stroke so it looks like it could have been applied by hand in the field.

Thanks! One of the more fun guys to tackle because it was my first take on a camo design. Doing this one gave me the guts to finally hit my Get Tough Duke with the red camo.
Haha, thanks, I appreciate it! Those giraffe pants are the reason I always passed him over when grabbing guys on the pegs growing up. Even as an adult I passed over the o-ring in toy show bin after bin before finally just throwing him in a pile of loose figures one day and buying him. Definitely one of those 90’a “what were they thinking” designs. Haha. Do enjoy having him in my collection now though so glad I pulled the trigger.

Thanks, as always, I appreciate it!
Close out the week with one that I showed briefly but never did official shots for, Funskool Sonic Fighter Dodger. This one is just a repaint of the figure that the Club gave us. I had an extra who sat in my fodder pile for months because I never could figure out what to do with him, then one day during a Funskool search he popped up and I started painting. Not sure if I just like this version better or if the Club paint job was just so poor that it made me not really care for theirs. Whichever it is, I’m happy to start building up my Funskool Joes a bit more. ![]() ![]() ![]()
