Thanks! First time I pulled him off the shelf since my initial pics I believe. Always nice when you do that and still think, “I did a good job on this one!” Haha.

Ha ha I love it! Such great colors! I think the wild stuff is some of the best! How are the Black Major figures? Quality & paint? I've never bought any but have been tempted...

I like yours better.
The silver/chrome gives it more pop than the dull grey on the Black Major.

Thanks! Appreciate it! Think i mentioned when I first posted him that I was really nervous about the color during the first coat. Then once the blue really took, started laying down the silver and I knew he was gonna be cool. The bright colors really show off the sculpt too. Love this one. Quote:
I really like them, I usually use them as a way to get molds or gear that I don’t have / didn’t have growing up at a more reasonable price. Have a handful of them and actually just grabbed an Eel & Snow Serpent. Eel since I only ever had the pair from the 90’s and Snow Serpent because I have an original but never had his gear. So nice cheap alternative to buying complete vintage versions. Paint is pretty good, see some stuff here and there but for $15-30 on an old style o ring mold, nothing I complain about. Quality is nice, plastic seems harder, so sort of gives the feel of one of the 82 guys where going crazy with the posing may be risky. I can pose and mess with these but there are some weapons that I wouldn’t try in their hands unless I used some heat because the thumbs are pretty stiff. So in short, I’m a fan. Nice to have a guy like Starduster or V1 Stormshadow that you can mess with a bit without worrying that you may break a thumb, crotch or crack an elbow on a $100+ figure. Much more relaxing when it’s only a $15 investment. This is my current group, small but again, four figures / molds that I don’t have official versions of and the total cost was around $75. So just something really cool to have.

Real jealous of how meticulously clean your paint work is, especially on this one. And like you said, the lighter color really shows off how great of a figure that Snake Eyes is.

Really smart to go with the navy blue and goldish laces for the boots as it flows so well. Although I'm liking that turquoise/yellow color scheme on the o-ring figure, your custom looks way more elegant! Great stuff man.

Still on my yard work / nice weather custom break but I saw this Black Major Snake Eyes on eBay and it reminded me of my Funskool custom so I just had to grab it for Past & Present shots:
Still love this custom and this BM Snake Eyes captures everything I love about it. Snake Eyes in bright colors, I’m in! Haha. Then the mustard yellow accessories, crazy looking Timber and the fact that I don’t have / never had a v2 o ring Snake Eyes, well worth the pick up for me. Yeah, I was a big collector of 6 inch figures for friggin’ years n years, think I’ve already said, Marvel, DC etc, but my first love is 1:18 and that’s before the wife haha, more enjoyable too lol... actually I’m not married to her, just partner, so bonus I guess. Man o’ man, I gots a big box of Corps figures too, one day I might also have a crack at them lol. Also, lovin’ you got an old style bombardier, me too, wish my BM figures cost 15 bucks a pop, works out a lot more when they have to go over the pond. Wanna get a BlackMajor Starduster too or is that one RedLaser? Keep up the awesome work! Last edited by LEEE777; 05-20-2021 at 10:57 PM.. |
