Haha, poor Headman might be the first custom who lost a fight in his own post. Quote:
Appreciate it! The gold on his suit and his gun came out great here. Was fun working with the mask too since I got to keep maneuvering around his face so I didn’t block his eyes. Quote:
Ooh, wasn’t expecting a Headman from you too. Can’t wait! So funny how many guys we both make. Quote:
Haha, it will be really interesting to see who I’m making if we get another thousand posts deep! Thanks! Can’t go wrong with a drug kingpin in a gold striped suit! Thanks! Really happy to finally have him in my collection. Been wanting to make him ever since Marauder put their first suit out. Quote:
Haha, thanks! Was good to get a guy who has been on the to-do list for such a long time finally done. ———— As always, appreciate the comments! Haha, especially on such a goofy design like Headman.

Excellent work Hit and Run. Headhunter look awesome! Gold gets tricky to paint, but it looks like you did it right.
And congratulations on 100 pages /1000 post!

Thanks! Haha, appreciate that. Been watching a lot of Robocop recently so these pics scratched the itch for pictures that I really wanted to take.

Appreciate it! Didn’t notice how large the thread was getting until Flint_Rocks pointed it out the one day. Haha, time flies when posting customs and talking Joes!

Okay, I know what everyone is thinking. The Evil Headhunters are cool and all......but where are the full blown neon figures?! That desire to paint up a full neon figure started to hit me again so while looking at my fodder bin, I began to look for candidates and I found one! So sunglasses on!
Deep Six v4 is one that I still have never seen in person, but I used to check him out all the time in the old mail order catalogues. So while I didn’t have him, I was very familiar with this version of the character. Not sure I ever saw a custom of this version so as someone who doesn’t shy away from neon or yellow, felt like it was my duty to get one done. So I started with a Fortnite figure that I bought on clearance because it had a cool look to it. Wasn’t exactly sure what I’d do with it when I bought it but I pick them up on clearance every so often just for some cheap parts and something new to work with. No mods or anything with this one, just a dedication to make this paint job work. So I followed the original figure closely for a lot of the coloring, neon yellow suit with some black, red and gold accents. Then I needed something for the viewpoint of the mask because I wasn’t felling it being solid neon. So I borrowed an idea from Rob’s Eco Warrior Deep Six and went with a bright blue accent to mimic the ocean. I liked the color so much and wanted to add a little extra so I also used the blue for some extra accents that the original figure did not have. I also bought a dolphin for my Eco Warrior Deep Six since the original figure came with one, since I never took pics of him with it, I’ve added it here because it is really cool looking. Deep Six v4 With my other versions of Deep Six: When cobra sends in their neon Eel, GI JOE needs a response!: And this one changed quite a bit from original figure to final product:

I don't even know what to say anymore lol. Deep Six + Dolphin is both fun, eye catching, & wonderfully realized!

Had to look him up...shocker right. You nailed it. But seriously the picture with the Eel was BRIGHT.
I'm sure you have but in looking him up I saw Battle Corps Wet Suit and he looked right up your alley too. I actually like his design not as much as ARAH Wet Suit but it looked cool. Any plans for him?

Really appreciate that! When I started doing this, no way did I ever expect to be able to knock out full neon figures. Just assumed those guys would always be holes in my modern collection. Quote:

Any plans for him? I love that you are checking out the 90’s guys now! The Wet-Suit you are talking about is awesome.....it’s also one of the very first guys I made when the orange marauder parts came out! I also did the original figure it was a repaint of! Paint was added much later but I was like counting down the days for the yellow and orange accessories when they first came out because I knew I was getting these done ASAP once that KS package arrived! Those guys are on pages 19 and 27 of the thread if you care to check out the rest of the pics. Glad you thought the orange version was cool even before seeing my custom though! The 90’s are starting to pull you in! These two were seriously huge favorites of mine as a kid.
