These are all fantastic! Makes me want to spend an obscene amount of money right now on Marauders just to make my own.

This idea is very blatantly stolen from Hit & Runs customs (if you haven't seen his customs you should check them out)
https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...bashes-84.html When I saw his M Bison I knew I had to add one to my Red Shadow ranks. As I say not my idea (I just tweaked some colours and added some logos to make him RS appropriate) but I now have this figure in my display Love the tweaks you made to him! Keeping the black outline around the knee pads gives them a really cool look and always love the Red Shadows logos you get on the guys. Not sure I saw someone spin the shoulder pads that way before but it works perfectly for Bison! Glad I could inspire you to add such an awesome version of a great character to your shelf! ————— The red shadow with the skirt is a great touch. Definitely gives him a more distinct look so I love your idea for him as a cold weather trooper or an officer for your regular group. Those thin white and black lines are beautiful too. The Sonar Officer is one of my favorites that you’ve done. Such a great build, perfect accessorizing and then the colors really look awesome with this design. He might be one I need to recreate almost exactly for when I do a little AF80’s inspired Q Force group. The diver looks really cool with the gold helmet and boot tips bouncing off the white and black. Red Oktober is awesome! Haha, another where we put together something fairly similar but mine was for a Cobra field medic. Love how you accessorized this guy and it’s just a classic color scheme. Maybe your custom will get mine off the shelf and finalized so I can take some pics and share him.

I'm not familiar with Action Force or the Red Shadows at all, but this is great work.

Haha, appreciate it! Definitely a design a few of us hit on so cool to see something new added to it with each customizer’s version.

Maybe your custom will get mine off the shelf and finalized so I can take some pics and share him. Happy that my RS Officer does now look different to the regular troops. The skirt is kinda reminiscent of their look in cold weather gear (which is why I tried it) but I have a different plan for that figure. I think the Phones is my favourte of the Q Force customs (or maybe it is just because he is the newest!), happy if I have inspired you to do your own versions of the Q Force team. When I had the idea about painting the divers boots to look like those metal overshoes divers wear I could have sworn those boots had a raised tip as well as a raised heel. I might go back and add a bit of greenstuff there so the front is not just painted a different colour. I did consider using that red and white torso to make a Red Shadow medic, but then I decided that the Baron would not be concerned enough about his troops to provide one. Thanks, and I really would recommend reading some of those old Action Force comics online. |

Phones looks ultra cool, great stuff ;)
Lovin’ them all AF, Red Oktober gotta be the top one for me and yeah the Baron doesn’t believe in medics :P Deep Sea diver is great reminds me when I bought my first Action Force vintage figure, actually I think it was the British green beret Marine and the Deep Sea diver was the 2nd Action Force figure, but great memories though. Bison as a Shadow? Awesome! ;P I knew you was doing Bison but had no idea it was for the Red Shadows! Btw, talking Red Shadows, love how you did that Shadow flag with your Red Shadows, spectacular! Awesome work as always dude! Oh hey AF, I’m trying to post pics here and they are either uploaded sideways or upside down lol? Weird how no one else gets this, even when I upload in my album they are messed up? Anyone with a solution be much appreciated. Last edited by LEEE777; 03-28-2021 at 08:24 PM.. |

I was playing around with some ideas on how I could make a Red Shadow in cold weather gear (I have an idea now but it will take a while to get the parts), when I came across this ROC Storm Shadow "skirt" which I thought could work for making my Red Shadow Officer more distinct from the regular Red Shadows:
And a shot with some of his troops |

Yeah, I always wanted that Bison for the Shadows (even toyed with the idea of calling him Red Bull, Bison/Bull but not sure anyone would get the link) I got that flag with a BFS accessory set. I know you have the one that came with the FSS Red Laser but I had to look elsewhere. Sorry, can't help with the photo problem. Thanks, that was the problem with my officer before, he looked like any other trooper, now he has his own distinct look. |

AF, BFS accessory set, cool! Yeah the FSS flag is just a bit of card really, like what you did a lot more man! ;)
Thanks, yeah I’m pretty sure the white deep sea diver was the second figure I got, came with the boat of course, think that was a present from Christmas.... first time I ever saw Action Force figures was in Gamleys, ahhh memories. :P Think I was after Star Wars figures at the time but decided to get the British Marine, would of got more I’m sure, but as a small kid pocket money didn’t really go anywhere lol. |
