"Cobra ground forces have relied heavily on the HISS series of combat vehicles for many years. While the HISS family remains a potent weapons system, several new armored vehicles are rising to prominence as faster, wheeled alternatives. Enter the Parasite - a dedicated IFV, with all the graces of a gunship helicopter. It carries a pair of machine guns and a pair of autocannons in its front turret, as well as a single machine gun towards the back to offer a little more all around protection. Its unusual placement of its turret in front with a 180 degree cone of fire gives it a lower silhouette, making it a difficult target, and Cobra designers consider that its lack of heavy firepower in its rear sector will encourage its crew to stay in the offensive and not turn tail on the enemy. The practical result of this design feature is that Parasites are best kept out of built-up environments, and really come into their own in conventional assaults across fairly open ground.

What makes it most useful is its ability to carry six fully armed and equipped soldiers into battle, well rested and protected by sloped armor. If need be, at least four more can clamber onto the sides and rear. Cobra Vipers train to dismount at speed, and once on the ground, half a dozen or so motivated Cobra troopers will spread out and unleash anything from SAMs to ATGMs, as well as the usual small arms." ------ I forget who did it this way already, but I've seen one or two Parasites done by other customizers in black before, and I really liked that, so I gave it the same classic color scheme I use on my Stinger and Stun. And of course, color notwithstanding, the Parasite needed another crew member more than anything else. Last edited by Stormgard; 11-19-2020 at 12:18 AM.. |
