I would not have noticed the shirt was off if you hadn't said anything. How did you do the crush cap?

I like to point out errors before I get jumped on, some people just like to hate so by pointing out my flaws I douse their flames :o) lol the cap was a little involved as it was a "have a game plan and see how it goes" experiment.
so on the sides where the top meets the sides I cut a small wedge out but not all the way through. then had to take the underside of the top and shave it down some just in the contact area till it sit at almost a 90 degree angle. put the hat on the head (for support). small dab of glue. fold over and press hard till dry. say a prayer and let go. if your happy repeat on the other side. I wanted to use another head but the hat is super big on everything I had other then the mtf heads (of course because its made for them....kinda). I hogged out some of the inside but watch yourself since its supper thin on top. I held a finger on the outside to "feel" how close I was. hat was still riding very high. I used the ears as a measuring point because the hat should sit right above the ear. I wanted this hat to be removable but it sat so high it didn't look right and when the headphones were put on it looked really bad. so I gave the guy a flap top and dremeled down the top of his head till the hat sat where I wanted it. glued the hat on for the next reason. the headphone will still pop out at the ear because they are not made to go over the hat. wrapped the head phones around the hat. small dab of glue on the ears. pressed the headphones in place and held till dry. its not removable now but honestly id never take it off anyway so im cool with it. now there is a customizer out there that makes this hat/headphones combo but its not "accurate" to me, meaning its headphones over the hat but the crush cap isn't crushed. its headphones over a hard edged hat if you know what I mean. just doesn't look right to me and I really wanted a crush cap. plus I like making as much of my own stuff as I can when I can. it was really a easy process just make little adjustments until you're happy with it. |

Cool. Thanks. I might try that with the British officer cap as it has more of a rumpled look to begin with.
