I just recently bought the book Gi Joe Vs Cobra The Essential Guide and I came across the Joe character Barrel Roll. I know theres already a barrel roll out there but i want to do one like the pic in the book. This is my first attempt at a custom so im just looking for any advice.

Which parts are you going to use, and how much painting is involved?
1. Use acrylic paints - no enamels. 2. Take the figure apart as much as you can and paint each piece individually. 3. When painting, don't always rely on brushes. Qtips, toothpicks, razorblades, anything like that will help you with finer details. 4. Take your time!!! The best customs aren't built overnight (unless you're Doc). |

Do you have a plan on which parts to use? Give us a list, and maybe we can brainstorm on it if you're not 100% set.

I would suggest Greenshirt/Hawk/Snake Eyes upper arms, Resolute Duke lower arms, Ace upper legs, and the Barrell Roll head from Broken Arrow. Don't know about the rest.
