Fantastic work on all of these! The mods on Lady-Jaye look amazing! And the Robin head sculpt makes for a great Flint! I prefer Flint in his black shirt with the camo pants, but the green shirt version has merit as well. Keep cranking out the custom goodness, bro!

Flint and Lady Jaye are my all-time favorite Joes! one day I plan to write a blog article on the "SW Holiday Special effect in GIJoe Cartoons" where new characters/action figures were introduced without warning.
I really like how Lady Jaye looks more real-world military than Scarlett. You have definitely captured that look with this custom. Plus, I like your parts choice for building the legs. Flint looks great, although I prefer the collared-shirt look. Your weathering is spot on. I think maybe your WIP paint up could pass for a Funskool version of Flint. Jason |

Hands down, the best Joe couple and two of my favorites.
These look absolutely fantastic! I like the head choice for Flint. It makes him kind of resemble the Sideshow version.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that. Trying to figure out the wash has been driving me nuts. I came up with my own solution and this was my first time using it. Now to work on my dry brushing after washing. Any tips? Quote:

Use a very light amount of paint for the dry brush. If you have to much paint on the brush it will go on too heavy.

I’ve tried some dry brushing and I dabbed most of the paint out onto a paper towel then lightly went across the figure but I’m not sure what type of brush to use. I heard an angled thicker brush but what are you using?

I use a brush by Princeton called the deerfoot. It is a total game changer for dry brushing. You can wipe all the paint on a paper towel, but it still retains enough to dry brush. It also saves you from having to dip the brush in paint and brushing it off on paper towels as much because it retains so much paint. Also the space it covers is much larger so it saves you time. An angled brush is good for target dry brush. If you have a small section you need to dry brush and you don't want the dry brush to hit other parts of the body or web gear. Give a bushy type of brush a try. I never went back. I got mine at michaels.
