Well, I'm in a quagmire here.
I just picked up a 21st Century Gray Super Cobra in a trade. The whole reason I picked it up was to do a total custom job on it and make it a 25th Style Dragonfly. And then I realized that the thing is SUPER rare. This copter is not perfect as there is a little bit of breakage on the main gun (just needs glued) and I believe the lower Pitot tube is broken. Still, I'm now wondering if I should convert it at all... Ugh... Anyone have any advice? -Gary |

Rare? I bought my two close out priced at walmart for like 20 bucks a piece. They used to be stocked well at walmart. I say Paint it up, I've been meaning to with mine, one tan and one green.

I say do as you will whether or not you are planning to resell it. That's my decision maker on my toys. In the end, I say "ah heck with it" and paint 'em up! Super cool find. Hope you enjoy it no matter what you decide.

Yeah, but you won't touch one for near that anymore. They easily pull over 200 nowadays. Which version is it? The Marine Land Camo one is the rarer of the 2, and the better scheme imho. It is damaged, so that's gonna effect resale value anyway. If you feel confident then do it. I plan on doing the same to my banged-up one (well, an OD repaint, anyhow, i wouldn't bother with rediculous side guns and winches) should i ever get another. |

I had the same issue with my original skystriker. Should I paint it up or should I keep it in original condition (which at the time was yellow)? My barometer is the selling factor. Will I ever feel like selling it to make some money? If the answer is no, then paint it.
I just figured she was damaged anyway, why not live another life as a better looking skystriker?

Do it, it if it's not mint in the box and 100% compelte it's not worth holding on to it imop.
It would look better as a Joe vehicle especially a redone Dragonfly!
