Great figures and great pics man. I too love the Elephant and the shot of Cobra Commander enjoying a fine beverage. Great work!

Nice customs! Those Swamp Vipers look familiar, did you post pictures of them somewhere else?

Many thanks to all . I saw this elephant cheap in a stationery, and bought all the set, and thought about ways of making the elephant fit into the GI Joe collection, and there was none better than that .
STLjoe, I posted them in my blog and in a defunct spanish forum (casa slaughter) which got erased sadly. So I thought of sharing it again, for posterity and for all to see . I bring you more, these made in 2009; Here is my custom Tunnel Viper, inspired by some customizers which used parts of a Lanard figure. I thoguht of recreating that, but sculpting myself and using VvV parts. I presented this custom in a sort of dio story, for a spanish forum, so I will translate every caption; -Here is a day in the life of the Tunnel Viper. Early in the morning, he does a recon to make sure no enemies are in the zone and he goes to the tunnel... -Once arrived, he leaves his heavy equipment and he begins continuing the tunnel perforation... -Once he's taken the transpenetrator that he had previously camouflaged, he proceeds to perforate to create a gallery to hide Cobra material. Once the main perforation has finished, he takes out his protections (vital to protect him from rocks and other debris that comes forth) and he takes his due rest... Once rested, he starts one of the most important phases of the tunnel creation; obstacle demolition. He gets his backpack full of explosives, and fits his protective gear, (important if it explodes before time) and he proceeds to do a few controlled demolitions... At last, after 5 hours of intense work, our friend Tunnel Viper comes out of the tunnel. He's exhausted, but he still needs to find wood to make support beams, and leaves and branches to cover the tunnel entrance. The Tunnel Viper leaves the transpenetrator in the entrance with lots of care, as if it gets damaged or captured by the enemy, it would be discounted from his meager salary. The Tunnel Viper is satisfied with his work ¡he does not want that any boy scout/GI Joe/forest ranger or squirrel finds the tunnel! Finally, after a hard work's day, he returns to the secret bunker that acts as base. Here is the Tele Viper Commander, and old concept I came up back in 2009. Following the fashion of the Crimson Guard Commander, or others, I thought Tele Vipers needed a commander and special trooper.[/url] Here is the HAVOC flying vehicle modified with more firepower and a desert camo, named Desert Wind, with a repaint of Skidmark as pilot, named Stormriser. Here is El Coyote, a Sierra Gordo recruit. This is a recombination using parts of Bazooka, Armadillo and Sgt. Slaughter. This is a simple repaint to make Lady Jaye more cartoony, more palatable, although I am not very convinced by it.

Some really great ideas here! I missed this when it first circulated (2 years ago... where was I?), but scrolling through the pages I see a lot of love given to the ARAH line, which is fantastic! If Hasbro had given the original line the attention that you have, the line may have kept going a whole lot longer! And the figures would have been flying off the pegs; not too many pegs warmers, for certain! Thanks for sharing your skills and concepts with us!

Many thanks for your kind comments . I posted many more, but in separate threads on it's time. Luckily I've still have plenty to share!
Certainly, Hasbro lost a bit of touch in the late 90s, not to mention that in my opinion, 90 % of the modern vintage repaints are rather awful. Here a few more ; Considering there are not near enough Oktober Guard members, and hoping to even out a bit the odds, I set out onto making a few of them; Here is my new vintage Oktober Guard team, namely; Stainless Steel; ruthless general. Highpyke; mountaneer specialist and urban climbing. Krippler; leader of the White Tigers. Pavel & Zlatko; mercenary bounty hunters. Tundra Killer; experiencied soldier in tundra combats. Baltik; deep sea specialist. Breakdown; mechanic specialist. Strongpoint; heavy weapons specialist. Captain Volny; pilot. The Tundra Smasher is a vehicle of the new Oktober Guard sub-team, the White Tiger Force. Designed to cut through dense tundra forests. The pilot along other customs and figures of my collection (click to enlarge); WIP pic Here is the White Shark, a modified Cobra Water Moccasin (1986). I have added guns from the General and other small improvements, and repainted it with a White Tiger scheme for the Oktober Guard.

Nice updates! I really dig El Coyote; he's perfect in his simplicity and looks like he'd make a great guerrilla fighter. And the White Shark is just bad ass.

Thanks! sometimes, with the simplest of combinations you get new great joes . It is in some aspects, the greatest challenge of the customizer; create something new with essentially, not changing anything .
Hit & Run, here more are coming! This is the Red Thunder, dreadnok custom cycle I did a long time ago. Made mainly with cardboard, and the wheels come from the inside of an old VHS . Now in bad condition, awaiting to be restored, after a few too many removals. The Snow Vipers are the high-rank Snow Serpents, with a camo for making them recognizable in heavy arctic storms and pilot of the SSAV. This is a concept I did to reuse a damaged GI Joe vehicle. Now seen it with retrospective, doesn't make much sense overall  . Try-it Out is the test pilot of Cobra, that tries the deadly weapons of Cobra when they're still in development stage. He was chosen by his fearless attitude, and by his incredible luck in escaping certain death. Recipe; Cobra Commander v1 head, Hiss Driver waist, torso and arms and Wild Bill VvV legs. And with these I finish posting 2009 customs. Next post will be 2010 customs ;) .
