Wow! They all look awesome. Love how you made modern versions of some of the more obscure characters.

Many thanks ;) . I bring you two more customs, although this time they are MASK, but very compatible with GI Joe in my opinion;
MATT TRAKKER MASK; For some reason unbeknownst to mere mortals, Hasbro pulled up a strange concoction of a Matt Trakker in their 25th line, in sort of comic style.I hardly know anybody that would prefer that version over the classic cartoon. Hence, I was asked to do a cartoon accurate version, using the Hasbro as base.Basically resculpt armour, add pouch and sculpt the helmet, which took a good amount of time. I then casted it with plastic, so the helmet was easy to take on and off.Hope you like it. Now with the mould, I might make one ARAH version for myself . BRAD TURNER; Here it is a rather different custom for a change, Brad Turner in GI Joe style! I never had any MASK toy as a kid, never saw any, although I liked very much the cartoon and saw it plenty of times. Only learned much later the existance of the toyline. In my opinion, it would have been much better in 3.75. I toyed with the idea, and much more after the release of Trakker as 25th figure, such a pity that was unfollowed. I even sold a few MASK figures I had collected, in hope of introducing them as customs in the GI Joe universe. But alas, I was asked first by a client to make them! this is the second MASK custom I do after Matt Trakker. Hence, the original idea was to use 25th Buzzer, but it was madness trying to avoid paint rub on an all bright yellow figure. Hence I brainstormed and thought AIM soldier was the right base figure! bad thing, was that the MU is considerably taller, but I realized that was due to a extra long legs, so I cut them and reduced them till making him nicely GI Joe 3.75 compatible. The most difficult part was making the MASK nicely removable. I was hours sanding the casted plastic helmet (I had to sculpt it first, then mould it) until it was as fine as a feather, yet still solid. I will probably make a vintage version now that I have the mould for my own collection .

There was talk around the time of GI Joe Retaliation that the third movie would introduce MASK/Matt Trakker as a way to bridge the Hasbroverse movie franchises. Not sure if that's still a possibility, but I'm hopeful. |

Man, you have customized across the board with Joe eras and parts, not to mention the sculpting you've done to really capture the looks of so many iconic figures! I am impressed with the detail, both in your sculpting and your clean paint work; brilliant stuff! I really like that Headhunter Stormtrooper and your Overlord figure. I could go on and on, but I am at work, and they would probably frown on me spending so much time on this site... Keep up the great work, take care, and God bless!

Matt Trakker and Brad Turner look fantastic! Definitely a missed opportunity by Hasbro to not get us a handful of MASK characters in the modern era.

Many thanks to all . Indeed a lot of things are said when movies go and come, but besides a sidemention I doubt seeing MASK characters in a movie any time soon.
Is curious how no revamp of the MASK line has been attempted other than two rather poor Matt Trakkers. Griff, it would be cool, but heck it would be complicated to recreate most vehicles. When I do my ARAH version, I might attempt something if I have some good parts lying around.

Here is a fun custom I did last year, this is Predacon, one of the aliens that was last introduced to GI Joe in about 1994 and left forgotten since.Not specially my cup of tea, but I must admit it is a cool character, although more in Star Wars if you ask me! the vintage figure is quite forgettable, for my custom I based on the blister art, which is quite menacing.Most complicated was engineering the arms articulations, so that all arms are fully poseable. I used a Venom body, which was curiously super articulated on arms, but nearly fixed legs, and combined it with a modern Thor.

I finish here the Lunartix trio;
Probably, the weirdest "GI Joe" figure to ever have been made. Yes yes, a GI Joe figure, you've read well.I was asked to bring the Lunartix aliens to the 25th style, and I followed the cardback, as I saw good potential in it, and there is no other source of media for the characters. I thought that as Star Wars aliens, they are quite good.Made using a Lizard figure with some sculpting here and there. And the last to complete the trio . I used a Tygra Thundercats 3.75 to bring him to custom figure life. He needed sculpting everywhere, a complex custom to do, but I am very happy how he turned out. I followed the card illustration as close as possible.

Those baddies look like they were a challenge! Kudos for being up to that challenge. And you’re right about them fitting in more with SW than Joes. Surprising or not that these characters exist or that you chose to make them, really impressive!
