Got tired of looking at the drooping blades held together with tape so I modeled a new rotor head and blades.
The rotor head is 3d printed and the blades are injection molded from a more durable material than the originals. The blades mount to the rotor head with pins. No more droop and my Dragonfly is fully mission capable now. |

I like it! The sturdy blades make a big difference. Kudos on a job well done!

I’ve had the rotor and blades off of mine, stored upside down in an attempt to straighten out that sag. These look great!

Wow, nice work. It’s always nice to see a vintage Joe vehicle brought back from the salvage yard.
I’ve got 2x of the side mount gun, both engin covers, one right wing, and 2 x of the longer missiles (sparrows.) if anyone needs them hit me up, just cover the shipping. That’s a great idea. I actually like a little sag in the blades, just not too much.

I have 2 dragon flys where the rotor is detached. Could this be fitted as a repair?

The very bottom part of black plastic is still on the silver rod. The rest is detached. I have been trying to learn if it is fixable without buying a whole dragon fly. I will try to get pictures soon.
