Perfect custom! Captures the exact look of the original. I might have to try this recipe out myself. Good job, DOC!!

The stands are Mini Mag Stands. Mini Mag Stands The only Magnetic Action Figure Stand
IMO, the stands are ok. Pretty bulky, and don't look as nice displayed as the clear circle ones. But nothing will be falling down, lol. ~Eric

Good stuff, Doc. I never had the original and not a huge fan of the colors either but you made a great figure!

You did this to me you Bastard!! ;) Thank you sir! Quote:
That's a fantastic job. Really excellent. That's got to be one of the best customs I've seen. In fact, I wish Hasbro were as meticulous as you are about recreating the original characters. That's really great work. Thanks for sharing this with us, Doc.
Are you taking orders for these? I'll be doing 5 of these one commander and 4 troopers they well be on ebay shortly... Quote:
Sweet! Nice and clean. I've got a handful of 25th Airbornes lined up (picked up for 1.74 each during the Target fun days) waiting to become Steel Brigade support troops for my Joes.....just waiting for the Pit Commando Steel Brigade helmets so that I can complete these. Using Firefly heads is an excellent idea! I was simply planning various heads, but the Firefly head looks pretty cool!
I chose the FF head A because, I don't think a lot of people are going to chop up there ROC flash... ;) Can't wait to see your squad if you choose to post them... Quote:

IMO, the stands are ok. Pretty bulky, and don't look as nice displayed as the clear circle ones. But nothing will be falling down, lol. 1st They are magnetic 2nd They can stand perfectly fine all by them self without the aid of a metal sheet.. 3rd you don't need to use two! most figures stand in action poses Awesome just using one stand on one foot. Just MHO on the subject... Quote:

Awesome work. Where did you get the little circular stands for the figure's feet?
