I started this the middle of last year, got a little frustrated and intimidated by all the work needed to be done and set it aside for other projects while formulating parts ideas. I know she's a bit of a polarizing character, but I like her design from a visual standpoint, and thought she'd be a fun challenge to do, especially attempting to do so much sculpt work on a 3.75 figure, which is a lot more difficult as opposed to the six inch work I've been more accustomed with.
I wound up using InstaMorph to get the two MTF sheaths to stay connected securely, and used the top two halves of a couple MU Deadpool chest pieces for her harness and then sculpted on the center piece with the Arishikage emblem. That InstaMorph comes in handy as I also used it to secure the MTF hands and legs by filling in the extra gaps in the arm and leg holes. So overall I'm really happy with how she turned out. I find customs to be the most engaging when they're a puzzle to be solved, of trying to figure out what might go where as opposed to something like the Bombstrike I did previously where it was mostly just copying the Club formula. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my Bombstrike, but it's more fun to formulate something and then to see it all come together and work to make a pretty accurate piece. I think Hannibal said it best, I love it when a plan comes together. I hope everyone likes her just as much as I do as she's honestly one of my favorite customs I've done in any scale. Yo Joe! Parts: Head: MI Captain Marvel with sculpted visor Hair: MU Wolverine (X-23) Torso and arms: 50th female officer with sculpted forearm guards and piping Hands: MTF with some sculpt Legs: MTF and holster with sculpted shin guards, knee pads, holster straps, and piping Swords and sheath: MTF

Great job backer I got one off of eBay now I want to build one myself. I've been thinking about doing it for awhile you have given me ideas and maybe even a female Storm Shadow. I Love doing customs myself. For my personal use I think when you make a custom of a new figure you contribute to the Joe universe.I have a custom new Joe team called gijoe ghost protocol

Cool! Thanks for commenting. I was thinking of who her Cobra nemesis could be (besides Firefly) I was looking at maybe making Whisper from the Kindle Worlds books as a Cobra counterpart.

You could’ve taken simpler way (Gigabread kit I think is what we’ve all seen) but MANY careful and elegant little modifications went into creating your own. Kuddos!!

Thanks a lot. Appreciate the comment. And I thought about Gigabread. After seeing it I was a bit discouraged and set my work aside. I was definitely interested in buying one. I waited and waited and never saw it in stock. I even sent a couple inquiries but never heard back so I finally started working on mine again. Which was probably a good thing after seeing what they're selling for. I mean, I get it's work to produce something like that, but I'm nothing if not a cheapskate DIYer at heart, lol. It's kind of how I got into customs myself. I saw a lot of awesome stuff people were creating but was like, I'd never pay that much for a figure. So I started doing it myself. Hard to believe that was almost a decade ago now.
