I replaced the 25th Anniversary Spirit head sculpt with a vintage Spirit head sculpt which I modified and repainted. I mixed a custom color of paint to match the factory skin tone of the 25th Anniversary figure.
Thanks for looking. |

Wow, good job. Many of the Vintage (New Scupt too) heads were better than the 25th heads. Which is a real head scratcher. Maybe they were going for a cartoon styling rather than the best they could do realism?

Nice! Spirit (original) really had a great head sculpt, and your paint job just proves that it is able to hold it's own against the stuff that has come out since the ME began (25th Anniversary and forward). Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the good words.
I’ve seen a few vintage heads reused with modern figures and sometimes they work better than other times. I’m quite happy that this one worked. I do think it’s tremendously better than the 25th Anniversary head. |
