Expanding on the concept of my last Heavy Class HISS IFV, here's a better armed one. It is the closest thing my Cobra forces are probably going to get to a proper MBT. It has a crew of four, lots of heavy weapons and still has space for two dismounts in the back.

My original HISS, (second from the right) spawned a simple APC variant (far right) where I removed the turret to make space for six dismounts inside. After that I built a heavily armed HISS Destroyer (far left), which carries its main weapons facing forward. Most recently, I've developed the larger Heavy Class HISS tanks, on a new hull. The one in the middle is the IFV variant, sharing the turret of the original HISS tank. The Heavy second from the left is the true "battle tank" version, with a brand new turret that mounts the same basic double cannon and missile weaponry as the HISS Destroyer. Not into lego but that Hiss tank is a thing of beauty. Nicely done!

That is one cool fleet! If HASBRO ever released variants of vehicles like these in 1:18, I’d be tempted to buy them all. That would be a pipe dream, but YOU do it so well in LEGO!

Thank you! This new large variant with the split windscreen was partially inspired by the early depictions of HISS Tanks in the ARAH comic.
I have plans for more HISS designs (eventually I would like a full squadron-sized unit of over a dozen). |
