Figured I'd pop in a quick couple of pics from my latest commission- lazy and undoctored "no logo" pics at that, which is a rarity for me!
Any way, its a main gate, with two towers and a catwalk. Pretty much all MDF and wood, with the exception if the mesh , ladder, and hinges - I'm a bit nuts and almost made those from wood too, but I have to reign myself in for practicality's sake once in a while! Its tough to get a sense of scale from pics, but this thing is a beast! It weighs in at just about 10 lbs, and I'm VERY glad the buyer is in the same shipping zone as me! Still trying to get a good weathered iron look- I don't hate the gates, but I don't love 'em either!

Dayum! Very nice. I like it much better than the plastic gate just released by World Peacekeepers. Just for posterity sake, can you give a rough price on such a build? Some folks may want to spend some of their Joe budget on the Beast before the holidays arrive. (For the record, I am all tapped out as is).

Thanks for the kind words!
This one was quite a bit of work, so it went for $150. The guy that picked up my "miters" filled bunker apparently loves my work, (which is flattering as all hell by the way,) and he's keeping me busy designing an entire complex for him. Next up are a tank emplacement in the vein of the vintage headquarters mobat room but with a lowering front wall, a prison block and some perimeter walls. I'll definitely have him send pics for me to post here when it's all complete- hopefully alongside some of his excellent custom vehicle builds ( his thunder machine is insane- looks like the bastard son of a dreadnoks rig and an r-type or gradius boss the guy is a kitbashing f-ing genius). It's worth mentioning that I do work with just about any budget though- I'll build the tiniest foxhole or an entire city if someone wants it! Its all based on complexity really. The biggest bitch are of course shipping costs- these are wood after all, so the weight adds up pretty quickly. Sounds like you were smart and got your shopping done early - if only I had the foresight!

Very nice! I love seeing this kind of stuff. The kind of thing I wished I could get as a kid.

This looks freaking fantastic. I think the gates are the best part; the weathering you did is perfect.

Thanks a lot! This buyer definitely drives me to up my game, which is why I like requests so much. The only problem is now I'm looking at my personal display and thinking it looks terrible! Time for an upgrade, I guess..
