HHFF, looking back at your Roadblock custom, you must have used a V. 19 head on that one custom because the v. 20 head (same sculpt) is molded in a darker brown.

I'm hoping the v. 20 head matches the skin tone of the Retro figure a lot better. I have one of those TF resin cast heads, but it's a pretty light brown tone.

Finally, it's pretty sad with that Duke mask looks a lot better than the screaming face! LOL!

For that updated Resolute RB, I started with the v20 head (since I was using that one's legs). The head is super dark and is a worse match. I switched to the v19 since it would match better when the photos were gray-scaled, and both v19 head + Retro body would be easier to repaint as a darker matching brown. You'll likely end up doing the same with your lighter cast TF head. The Retro flesh has a weird purple hue to it anyway.

And to all: please do not copy my awesome Duke fix using that 25th Zartan mask!!

Use the 50th Zartan mask. Much better flesh color!

I found a retro Roadblock figure yesterday. So with the figure in hand I can see the vast difference in skin tone between that Resolute Roadblock head sculpt and the Retro body. I'm going to paint the TF resin cast head sculpt I have. I must say that I'm pretty impressed with the factory paint apps on the retro figure though, even though the articulation is lacking.

I've looked back over your thread to see what paint color you used for your custom Roadblock legs, but I must be overlooking it. Would you mind sharing the paint color?

Now that the fall semester for school is over, I've got several custom projects I'm going to try to finish and photograph by the end of the year and Roadblock is one of them! Thanks for always being a great inspiration to the customizing community.

Just a review of my 2020 stuff on this thread, which was the bulk of my stuff this year. Crazy year. Glad to be around breathing, and thankful not have have lost anyone permanently through this pandemic. Thanks to all for stopping by here all year, and have a happy new year.
