Retro roadblock sucks so hard.
Bad headsculpt, neon tank top and gloves, no ankles or double knees. Garbage |

Did you experiment with the full Gung Ho legs at all?

I have. They are just a little too short on that torso. When you put the GH lowers on the Rockblock thighs and knees, then it seems to restore the proper height.

Hey HissHissFangFang,
You can't write these glowing reviews and expect us to see the sarcasm in it. The mustache may not be able to see the sarcasm, and think he did alright with this figure. Hahahaha.

Honestly, I hate writing negatively, especially on this board. I am just so mad this didn't come to pass: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...st-hasbro.html. I wrote a whole explanation prior explaining the budget tooling strategy as well, but I guess I never posted it. I do get into a few points over the course of the thread, |

And maybe it was have been cheaper. Note that in the pics, my extended webgear was glued to the shoulders at the time, holding them in the right position but leaving all articulation intact. I've got a bunch of photos in the Flickr album below with studies of builds in anticipation of the retro series: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134079...h/50208287251/

OK, sarcastic overload. It was a bit therapeutic for me in trying to get in their heads to see why some design decisions were made. Because I overthink everything.

I wrote a whole explanation prior explaining the budget tooling strategy as well, but I guess I never posted it. I do get into a few points over the course of the thread, I haven't seen these in person yet, but, to me, it's a good foundation for a better figure. I would love to know the rational behind the parts choices from Hasbro. I keep thinking that maybe certain parts are treed together in the die. So, it's not like you can get Gung-Ho's legs without producing some other parts. Anyway, I bought one of those TF RB resin cast heads off eBay and plan to customize a V.1 Roadblock as close to the original ARAH version as possible. I'll probably use a black WW2 German web belt, since I think it will be long enough. Jason |

Yes. Derstahlhelm did it and it oozed real good in his photo, making me wonder why I didn't just do that simple thing. So I went back and tried it again. It looks decent from front, but terrible from the side, way to narrow. I do encourage people to try it to see what they think. I tried to take pictures to accent the issue, but the photos seem to mute the issue.

Do you have that web belt and torso now? I'd like to see a pic of that. I too want a better webgear for my RB. I'm using the double belt option for now, but would love to see this combo.
