I like the spacing of the darkblue and white pattern on the decal sheet, and suggested to the seller to adjust the pink/green/blue side to match. We'll see. I almost gave in and went with the blue/white pattern, but painting to white is a pain. But I am repainting my final Chuckles white as I have time, to see what the final blue background looks against (and see if I can paint match that hue. Finally, I really don't want the floral pattern to pop on my final, just be there and look as tampo'd as possible. The translcency of the decal sheet work for me.
I should mention that I love your Rawhides axonrey, and I've been studying them for ideas. I also imagine that we will see good updates as the year goes by as new ideas and parts become available. I really like the Poe head, and looking for a cheap figure on ebay ($5 to $6) as a backup. Per your pics, changing the hair color really helps hide the "Chuckles using Poe's head" issue I have. Also, your previous Steve Evans Steve Rodgers head looked great (though I can't unsee Steve Evans). I'm trying my best to whittle down all the fodder I've accumulated years back when figures were cheap--but it will be hard to just even match the MTF Spec Ops body you use. Last, the Gambit head use is lights out! You have made it hard for me to make this figure without having to buy new parts! Buying any new parts at this point is reserved for my A-listers//T13 level (limited to me Wave 2). Chuckles isn't on that level for me, but he does need the upgrade to look good next to my Falcon, Tunnel Rat, and Jinx. But 6" is coming and wallet needs to prepare (though I've cut down on Marvel Legends and DC Mutliverse to help compensate). The movie was my first big joe exposure, so the Rawhides, especially Falcon and Chuckles, are first tier for me.

Hi, great job on all your figures, cannot wait & see what you do with them! Just one question, on Tunnel Rat, did you think of using 25th Tunnel Rat lower legs to shorten him?

Yes! Only just last night as I was putting these guys all back on the main shelf until the weekend. Tunnel Rat stands between Falcon and little Chuckles, the latter having those legs. I haven't actually tried the switch yet though...

Wow these are so cool. I wish you were Hasbro and I wish these were the figures we were getting.

LADY JAYE
Build: Upper Body, upper arms, hands, head, webgear: 50th Lady Jaye Legs, javelin: 25th Lady Jaye v1 Lower arms (modified): ?? (either Renegades Duke or POC Jungle Duke) Paints: Testors Schokoladenbraun (Dark Brown); Vallejo Lime Green Notes: When doing updates to Flint, I also took a harder look at my shelf Lady Jaye as well. Hasbro’s 50th versions had been occupying my main Joe shelf since it was released. After some comparisons with other versions and some test shots with my updated Flint, I decided on below as my final version: 2020-02-18_09-32-18 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr It was a close call on the final legs. Ultimately I went back to the 25th LJ legs because I felt the 50th legs to just too squat and short. They probably look fine when the figure is posed/photo’d alone but don’t look as great when figure is posed with other females, or even males whose legs aren’t as bulky. The arms with either set of legs looked a little short in length, so I went with the skinniest longer ones in my fodder and shaved/sanded them down for a smoother look. I also did a little shaving at the collar to get them to look less gravity defiant. Side by side with 50th version (and failed face fix): 2020-02-18_08-34-13 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr With the part swaps above, the green and flesh need to be repainted. For initial photos I went with Testors Green Zinc Chromate—one of the lighter (but not too light) greens I had on hand. Later I bought and repainted with Vallejo Lime Green—a closer hue to the original vintage figure. Even later I bought AK Real Colors US Interior Yellow Green RC262, but did not want to repaint the figure (too many layers at that point, and didn’t want to strip all the primer/color/finish already applied), but this AK Real Color is probably the best match to the 50th figure if a toned down green is preferred. When this 2-pack went on clearance, I bought 2 extra packs and chose the best painted head for my final. I tried to touch up the eyes and repainted the hairline—especially around the checks to get a better cheekbone profile for front view photos. I filled the head socket with a little clay to adjust the head height (I probably do this on 75% of all my figures, and forget to indicate so). Concept to Release to Redo: 2020-02-18_08-33-33 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr Note: concept vault photo from GeneralsJoes.com, 50th photo from JoeBattlelines.com Test shot with previous releases prior to actual final (for colors, heights, proportions, etc): Five Shades of Jaye by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr 2020-02-10_10-32-05 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr |

Nice! The legs on the 50th version always felt off to me, so the mashing of the 25th and 50th version figures, using the legs from the 25th one, make for a better figure... You done good!
