Like most of you I was awaiting the release of the ROC line with some hope.....not high hopes but some slim shimmer of "maybe they will cag a good one"....they didnt.
I did see some promise in the Heavy Duty and Cover girl figs and I picked them up with the sole purpose of moddifing and tweaking them to make them a bit more classic looking. Let me know what you think. Cover girl was first on my list. I wanted to make one for so long but just could not find the right combo. This one is the ROC CG from head to toe, I added the jacket from a DC universe Black Widow that came in a 3-pack. the belt is from lady Jaye. Heavy Duty is a travesty, I had to buy both figures to make this one. The reactive armor HD has the right gatling gun but the body looks rediculous, the dude has a huge gut and it portrudes way past his chest. The other version has the right outfit but the wrong gun. I just added the headband to make it look right. another issue with this figure is that because of the way its packed his grenade launcher comes out all bend out of shape. I had an old blooper laying around missing the amo barrel so I gutted the one that came in the pack and fixed my old one. He had one of these in his first comic book appearance before he ever got a mini-gun. |

they look pretty good I have to say. I'm kinda thinking we may get ARAH repaints down the line kinda what they did with the TF movie line. Channing Tatum's head on a 25th Duke body. something like that

I'm going to do something similar to my "cover girl".
Although, I plan on trimming the hair for better head rotation and loosing the i.d. tag. Also, the jacket I have is from an Indy figure so it will need to be modified also.

I'm digging the camo on the RoC figures, truth be told...but the Cover Girl you looks a lot better than the camo look. If I had the painting skill, I'd do the same.
Heavy Duty is crappy, no matter how I look at it...custom or retail (no offense). Every time I see it, I see Adibisi from HBO's Oz...with that stupid hat that never fell off the side of his bald head. |

I have to find a way to make Cover Girls expression a little bit more lively, she just looks sad and pouty, and her hair down like that adds to the drabness of the face.

Why does ROC Heavy Duty there look like the GIJoe Vs Cobra Heavy Duty?
It looks good though. |
