Nice revisions man, paintwork shines on making the harness look like the original as well as the USA Flag to help modernize him for 21st Century sensibilities. Having him growing up, he was so much better than the original (who I also had.) Plus having built this one myself with MTF, I can see your re-interpretation ideas through & through!

That is a perfect v2 Cross Country! The build looks just like the original o ring and the paint job is incredible! Love the vibrant orange, but that blue is the show stopper to me. That color is great! The contractor pants look awesome in that shade and the muted brown for the boots & belt & bright orange on the holsters pop so well off of it. The two tone straps & mods to the webgear were great ideas too, gives him a different look from the off the shelf unaltered straps.
Always fun to revisit older customs with new ideas, especially as newer parts come out. You definitely took advantage of that and absolutely crushed this one. He?s one that I always wanted to revisit as well.....now I definitely need to because this looks so much better than what I have on my shelf!

Thanks, man! The blue of the pants was a complete stroke of luck. I absolutely had to finish painting the jeans in one go. I knew I would never be able to mix that same color again. The two-tone straps are a bit of a necessity. On my first try, I just cut off an orange harness strap and thought that would look great, but when I put it on the figure, I just couldn?t get it to sit right. All the tension had disappeared when I cut off the strap and the harness just got super loose. When I decided to try again, I needed to keep both straps, but I tried to blend the left-hand strap into the gray of the shirt to make it look like there?s just the orange strap and belt. It?s funny, I?ve come to realize that I could tweak probably 90% of my Joerauders. I guess my customs are all just works in progress.
That?s good to know about cutting the straps because it was definitely on my list of things to try just to get some extra life out of the extra straps that are in my bins. Thanks, I?ll keep that in mind when I finally try it out. Blending the color like you did worked out well so that?s always an option too. Same, I have a lot of sealed ones in my thread that are totally finalized.....but then earlier ones from when I was still learning some tricks / techniques that I plan on revisiting to improve their paint, builds or scrap all together since better parts for them have since come out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that looks at older customs and thinks "I could really do better". Nice updates on all of them, but I really like that Cross Country. Your paint work is always so clean it is actually hard to tell if the parts are that color or if you painted them. I have to look and think whether or not Marauders every made those parts in that color.

Literally a five-second custom. Couple weeks ago I had ordered a BFS chrome buck in order to use one of the arms for my Mercer V2. That left me with all the chrome alternate heads.
Tonight I was going through my helmet bin looking for something else when I caught a white riot helmet out of the corner of my eye. I thought, WAITAMINNIT! I immediately got to painting a black trim on the helmet, I grabbed the completely useless BFS ?half-formed? head, stole the black body and pouches from my Snake Eyes V1, stole the truncheon from my Mutt V1 and BINGO! Yes! This is awesome. Simple, but effective.

Mariner, Barrel-Roll, and Cross Country are all really nice! I like that you are making figures/characters that are not the most popular, thus get looked over for the most part. That being said, I have always liked the character of Barrel-Roll, and you have done him, and the other characters here, justice! Also, your THX-1138 Android is easily recognizable!

Quick thinking on THX 1138! That's a fun one!
My question is, what happens to Snake Eyes version 1 & the harvested parts? Do they get replaced with another new order? Or do the prior figures/parts just... disappear... from the "Rob Hall Of Fame?" XD |

Oh, unfortunately this guy will get broken back down and all parts will go back to previous figures. The Riot helmet and BFS head will go back to the bin and will have to wait for another Marauders order before they meet again. As of now, head and helmet are Lost Toys.
But they won?t have to wait too long, I finally decided on a use for the shitty head-wrap of Star Wars Jaaku Rey (don?t worry, the goggles won?t look so horrible once I clean up the edges a bit) NIGHT CREEPER (FEMALE)
