Always impressed that you just keep pumping the MTF goodness out! Can’t believe how well the parts work for Blowtorch!

Working on a couple house projects, so I?ve only got the energy for some small tweaks this week. Tweak Week!
Anyhoo, got my hands on Slice & Dice this time. I?ve always been unimpressed by my first attempt at Slice. The black dots (or stars, I guess) on my custom always seemed underdone, so I just added a few more black against the red. SLICE (V1): 1992 Also gave Dice another try. I really just wanted to add more purple to the mask and shoulder pads and gave him some bracers. I also wanted to get rid of the uncharacteristic gold on the figure. DICE (V1): 1992

As for the your updates to Messrs Slice and Dice, what a difference a fresh eye and a little extra paint apps can make. I love to see customizers revisit previous work. After all, art is never finished, only abandoned, as they say. |

I don?t normally post WIPs, but I thought as I was going out of town tomorrow and won?t get back for at least a week, I might show off a couple things I?m working on
First is Sci-Fi V4. The Testors Yellow paint I?m currently using looks MUCH better to the naked eye than the picture would have you think. I think the harsh light I had to use is making the paint a little transparent (the same way Hollywood actresses accidentally show too much when they wear black in front of the paparazzi). Of course any paint gloop will be cleaned up before going on the showroom floor. The chest armor (which is painfully over-large) and helmet are from the Dollar Tree Final Faction line. The chest comes from some sort of dragonfly themed backpack array. The helmet comes from the hero faction?s exo-suit. The Final Faction line definitely enjoys using a straight-lined, industrial future aesthetic, but I wanted to see if I could incorporate some of those pieces into something resembling Star Brigade. I?ve had this cast head for absolute yonks, but I don?t know who?s face it is. The reason I used it is because it?s the smallest head I have and it?s the only head which allows the rim of the helmet to touch the neck of the chest armor. The left arm is an old Star Wars build-a-droid arm. I may leave it as-is, but I do have a cheap Gatling gun that I might glue to the arm. I?d have to see just how big the gun looks on his arm. Second is the S.N.A.K.E. Armor. It?s really just a cheap Lanard Aliens Load Lifter. I primed it white and will satin it up with some clear coat. I?m going to rely on stickers to make it look authentic, so I don?t really need to paint too much, just some side panels on the legs and some vents and pistons. I made a S.N.A.K.E. Operator a few weeks ago and wanted the Armor to go with him.

I randomly went through my completed Joerauders the other night and pulled out my Mercer V2. I was never really fond of it the way it was. I wanted to take another stab at, so I bought a BFS Silver buck and used one of the arms. Here?s my second attempt. Original version is in the thumbnail at the bottom.
MERCER (V2): 1991
