Next up is Battle Force 2000 member Avalanche. I didn?t like Battle Force 2000 back then, but by 1987, I was long gone from collecting G.I. Joe. I?m still not the biggest Battle Force fan, but nostalgia has made the team more acceptable to me.
AVALANCHE (V1): 1987

Doc’s waist piece is just a WWII U.S. Marine waist piece painted yellow and the unbloused overlay done in orange.

Was never a fan of Avalanche from BF2K, but that was mostly because of the execution of the figure by Hasbro's design of him (it was my second least favorite of the BF2K, coming in slightly higher than the worst, Dee-Jay!). That being said, I can appreciate what you have done with the character, which is 100 times better that the original in my book. Still not a huge fan of the character, but you have at least made him palatable, so kudos for that!

Next up is Cloudburst! This guy has been half finished for the better part of a year. He required a good bit of jury-rigging to make him acceptable. First of all, the Agency torso needed to be cracked and combined with some Shock-Ops arms. After putting the torso onto the center waist stem, I found that the stem was too tall and made the torso sit too high. I had to flatten that out. For some reason, the upper-arm holes weren’t properly molded, so I had to dremel them out to accept pegs. I tried to glue some flight helmet goggles onto the tactical helmet, but they kept popping off, so I ended up using a LEGO visor and just let tension hold it onto a modded helmet. Used a Sharpie to color the visor blue.
Another reason Cloudburst sat there is because I was dreading painting his jet pack. And is been a bitch. You can’t see from the pictures but the other side of the wings are unpainted and are the original olive green. I just quit giving a shit and stopped painting. Also hard to see is the fact that the black highlights on the jet pack have been painted purple. I cranked up the saturation on the last picture to try to bring out the purple bits. Anyway, here is my Cloudburst. CLOUDBURST (V1): 1991
