Just wanted to post a quick WIP. I tried a little experiment where cut off the drop-down part of a Drop-Down holster and just left the holster loop and the clip-pouch loop. The holster fits fine, but the pouch is loose. May need to glue those to the Contract legs. Anyhoo, here is a quick mock-up of Cross Country V2. (The black dress shirt is just a placeholder until I get a gray dress shirt. The neck scarf does not really fit with the collar of the dress shirt, so I will eventually just paint a bit of his neck orange to denote a t-shirt underneath. And of course, I will eBay a vintage missile launcher.
CROSS COUNTRY (V2):1993

I wanted to revisit one of my oldest customs since my painting skills have improved (and because Steel Brigade posted an awesome version of him). I wanted to get Bazooka V3 a little more close to vintage by painting his pants a bit brighter and giving him that weird “Y” shaped camouflage.
BAZOOKA (V3):1993 (Haha! I love this pic...he looks like a complete goof!)

Just keep that Cross Country as is and make another using the gray shirt.

The night landing looks great! Love the coloring on it.
Really like what you did with Cross Country! Gonna be perfect when you get the shirt in, great idea cutting some of the straps, gives it a different look even if some parts need to be glued / modified to make the fit better. ......Bazooka.....I had a kitbashed Bluezooka that I was “fine” with. Not great, but not terrible. Then you drop THAT, with a perfect build and that paint job on the pants! Haha, yeah, you & Steel Brigade convinced me, My thrown together version just doesn’t cut it when I know he could look this good! Great job, as always! Love how much of the 90’s you tackle! Haha, and totally agree on that last pic, this version always made me laugh because he looks like my uncle on a fishing trip and that last shot captures it perfectly!

Next up is one of my favorite Joes back when I started collecting again. I skipped the JvC line as I thought it was pure crap. I liked the Spy Troops well enough to start back up. At that time I would order all the waves at one time and have a good ole time opening them all up and TRYING to match up the weapons to the right figure and then tossing all the wrist communicators. Here is VvV Jinx...
